- Speaking at the fourth General Sundarji Memorial Lecture, Army Chief Gen Pande spoke about the change in the character of warfare. He added that ‘surveillance and precision’ are scoring over ‘fire and maneuver’ and the ‘light and small’ are prevailing over the ‘large and heavy’. He also said that India needs to recognise that no country will share the latest, advanced and critical technology with us. He added that being import dependent for critical technologies, hence entails the risk of remaining one technological cycle behind, in niche areas. The answer therefore lies, in being self-reliant and achieving self-sufficiency in critical technologies through indigenous Research & Development, he said.

Finally someone decided to accpet the hard Truth
Isn't that obvious?
Would we want to share something extraordinary if we create it?
We should not share it other wise it will land into enemy s hands
Make DRDO a governing agency and let private companies compete with the latest tech for deals. Though Modi started the process it is still a long long way to go.
It's a shame to go hat in hand begging for Tech.
When you have soo many
1. Educated unemployed
2. Technology companies
3. Research scientist
Lack of infrastructure, lack of coordination, poor management, lack of recognition nor appreciation, lack of trust in our own innovative ideas. Funds shortage
You have not seen the lecture.. Please see the full video.
1. We have educated unemployed youth with robotic mindset
2.We have tech companies driven by the interest of the clients which are mostly
from the west
3. We do not have research scientists . We just have teachers wearing the jacket of the scientists . Not to mention, many got into their seats via reservations or party recommendations .
Off course there are exceptions . We have bright minds but they leave the country to service the west .
A defence firm once said india want tomorrow tech today for half the cost.
Most Defence Procurement of other countries also expect latest at 1/2 the market price.
Jaise is Zameen ne qarun Kaliya hai
In my book General K. Sundarji is the best after Field Marshal Manekshaw.
He had taught the Indian Army how to fight against the PLA. Some of his ideas are still used by the Indian Army to defeat the PLA in the 2020 encounter when they violated the 1996 agreement.
What? Can you explain what are you saying?
