Sorry to hear jen! It breaks my heart to hear you are struggeling. But just know in all your efforts, all your struggeling, you make alot of us happy by working this hard the way you do. I just hope you dont get tired, and continue doing this for and with us, BE STRONG💪
I noticed that Britney's Fembot scene was edited. Can you let us know which videos are helpful for you? You do such great work - I wonder if the Canadian censor is different than the American sensor?
Goldmember: “Can I paint his yoo hoo gold? It’s kind of my thing.” Dr. Evil: “How about NO you crazy Dutch bastard.” That exchange cracks me up every time. 😂
Your Bond knowledge makes your reactions to the Austin Powers the best. Love when you pick up on the homages. Britney Spears cameo actually came because she wanted to be a fembot in an Austin Powers movie.
As far as Michael Caine. He played a spy (who wore eyeglasses) in the 60's named Harry Palmer. One inspiration for Austin Powers. But he also starred in a 60's heist movie called The Italian Job which featured Mini Coopers as getaway cars...hence, the Mini that Nigel Powers drives in Goldmember.
31:32 Yes, the shots of a young Michael Caine are from the 1967 movie HURRY SUNDOWN. Most of the rest of the shots in the flashback were new footage designed to match the lighting and film stock used in HURRY SUNDOWN so it would blend seamlessly.
You definitely saved your best reactions for this third Austin Powers movie, Jen. It was great to see you notice the Mission Impossible and Bond references, too.
The band where Austin sings was created when he was on SNL and was the biryh of the character. One guitarist is Susanna Hoffs of The Bangles snd the bassist is Matthew Sweet. Hoffs' husband is the director.
The guy pretending to speak Beyonce's words to Austin is Nathan Lane, who co-starred in The Birdcage ( American remake of Le Cage Aux Folles 1978 ) with Robin Williams.
I believe it's on point as well since the scenes that were shot for the opening of Austinpussy was very reminiscent of scenes shot for Mission Impossible 2. So casting Tom Cruise as Austin Powers was probably a great cameo.
Jen you have to check out Michael Caine as Harry Palmer, who the _physical appearance_ of Austin Powers is based on. The first Harry Palmer film music (another classic film score) was written by John Barry who also composed the James Bond theme and 11 Bond film scores.
So glad you saw all three Austin Powers films! These are what made me join your Patreon. Love how much laughter this brought to you, and especially the recognition of various scenes from all the Bond scenes you've watched. Thank you for adding these to your watch list as a Bond detour!
There was a TV show in the 1966-67 season called "The Time Tunnel," where the characters would jump into a spinning black and white spiral to travel through time. It only ran for one season, but I really liked it. This movie pays homage to that show as well.
"Run! It’s Godzilla!" "It looks like Godzilla but due to international copyright laws, it’s not!" "Still, we should run like it's Godzilla!" "Though it isn't."

So proud, your recognition of Bond references shows us how much you enjoy watching all these movies we grew up with. This was one of your best reactions!
While the first movie is my favorite(then 2 & 3), this one has some of the best moments off all the films, as the opening scene was worth the price of admission alone. As that was a scene we all would have loved to have seen more of, as the A list cast was so cool in their roles. Another highlight for me was the Asian twin sisters gag, as that had me LOL when I first saw it. Beyoncé did a quality job, and while not as good as Elizabeth & Heather, she was better than I thought she would have been, so overall a quality ending to the series.
I’ve seen the Austin Powers movies dozens of times and I’ve never seen any of the Bond movies…..watching it through your perspective makes them a thousand times more enjoyable!!!
Yes, that was Fred Savage from Princess Bride but us 80's kids remember him from The Wonder Years. He also became a TV director and worked on many comedy shows including (I believe) It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia.
I truly love your reactions Jen. You're so happy and it's so much fun to watch your reactions to these hilarious movies. I loved Goldmember so much I watched it in the cinema about 3 times then bought it on DVD. Please, please, please keep your reaction videos coming. I've recently subscribed to your channel and you truly lift my mood every time I watch your content. As a Brit, I'm loving the Union Jack jumper by the way!
16:55 Yes, "The Mole" was not the Actor from "The Princess Bride" but he also was in "The Wonder Years" program. - The Actor's name is "FRED SAVAGE" -Good spotting!
A theory I saw for why Felicity isn't here is because this is the other Austin. The second movie ended with two Austins, regular Austin and "Austin from ten minutes ago". So while one Austin is still with Felicity, this is about the other one. Could be bullshit, but it does make sense.
I knew that Celebrity Hollywood intro would trip your trigger! At the very end that was Burt Bachrach singing one of his hit songs "What the World Needs Now is Love, Sweet Love". I think you would really like Michael Caine and Steve Martin together in DIRTY ROTTEN SCOUNDRELS (Orion Pictures, 1988). They're total opposites.
Hi Jen, fellow Canadian here. I find it so much fun how you get into the music in all your reactions. It's my favorite aspect of your videos. Keep up the great work. 😊
Although I am not a goldmember of this channel, I just wanted to chime in and say that Katie Couric, who played a prison guard, took an entire day to get the two-word line “time’s up!” correct. They were getting so far behind on schedule that Mike Myers had to talk to her in person and beg her to please let them finish the scene.
I've waited patiently for you to react to Goldmenber. My favorite of the trilogy. So much better than people think it was back in the day. I chuckled hen you said it looked like a "Mission Impossible" movie, knowing what was coming next.
Very nice! I forgot how funny this one was. With Jen, it's so much more fun and enjoyable! It's great you get all the references. Love ❤️ Jen's reaction always!
Your reactions to all three of these movies have been so much fun. :) It honestly takes me twice as long to watch your videos because I keep rewinding to see your reactions to the parts you enjoy.
Another fun reaction. Thanks. You can see a young Michael Caine in his own set of spy/espionage films, playing Harry Palmer. The 1st one is called the Ipcress file. He's also the star of the original version of the Italian job. They're all very good.
Essentially the first Austin Powers wasn't popular at release but became popular on rental, the 2nd movie was a huge hit and the 3rd capitalized on it and went full on Hollywood.
The Dr. Evil scene where he's in jail and is interviewed borrows not just from "Silence of the Lambs," but I think also from the "X-Men" (2000) as his prison outfit seems modeled after that. As for Michael Caine, he's one of the '60s spy movie actors that Austin is based on. He starred in the Harry Palmer films: The Ipcress File (1965), Funeral in Berlin (1966), and Billion Dollar Brain (1967).

I was supposed to go see Star Wars Episode II: Attack of the Clones, but the girl I had a crush on at the time, and who had a crush on me as well, wasn't available to go until August, after Attack of the Clones was done in theatres in order to get the VHS and DVD releases ready for their release date. Lol! I forgot how ridiculous this one was; so great! X) I think the only reference you might have missed in this movie was the scene where Powers visits Dr. Evil in jail is a spoof of a scene from The Silence of the Lambs (you didn't comment on it, so not sure if you caught that one; you should definitely check that movie out if you've never seen it! :). I noticed that Britney's Fembot scene was edited. Can you let us know which videos are helpful for you? You do such great work - I wonder if the Canadian censor is different than the American sensor?
Mike Myers said he wrote the opening sequence never expecting any of it to actually come to pass but thankfully it all magically worked out.
Goldmember: “Can I paint his yoo hoo gold? It’s kind of my thing.”
Dr. Evil: “How about NO you crazy Dutch bastard.”

There was actually an earlier Austin Powers/Brittany Spears Pepsi commercial before Goldmember!
He also appeared in her music video 'Boys', the very same featured in the movie.

It was great to see you notice the Mission Impossible and Bond references, too.
The casting for the flashback was so perfect. I'm shocked they didn't do a prequel immediately.
A prequel or midquel movie using those actors would be fantastic. They could just play it straight as a spy flick, and it would somehow be a parody.
The band where Austin sings was created when he was on SNL and was the biryh of the character. One guitarist is Susanna Hoffs of The Bangles snd the bassist is Matthew Sweet. Hoffs' husband is the director.
Super impressive how you manage to keep all the Bond movies straight, especially after watching so many of them in such a compressed amount of time.
The guy pretending to speak Beyonce's words to Austin is Nathan Lane, who co-starred in The Birdcage ( American remake of Le Cage Aux Folles 1978 ) with Robin Williams.
Fun fact: the woman who played the Queen is the same woman who player her in "The Naked Gun".
She was a professional Queen Elizabeth impersonator.

Beyonce's character is named after two 70's films, Foxy Brown and Cleopatra Jones.
"This reminds me of Indy 3" Frau was in that. She screamed at them when they spinning around in the chimney.
