I love these foraging videos! I'm going to take a walk around my neighborhood tomorrow morning with a bucket in my hand🙂 I have at least 1 of these chollas in my yard, I've never really paid attention to them! I really want to try this soon.
How do you prevent the contents from becoming pressurized and blowing up all over the place when you uncap it? I made a huge mess trying to make this. I'm not sure what went wrong, but after about the 3rd or 4th day when I took the lid off cactus and juice came bursting out all over like a firehose.
It’s important to burp the jar every couple days, or use a lid with an airlock if you have them. Here is a link you can the ones I usually use. a.co/d/b3vhFaB In this video I believe I just burped the jar, but these tops work really well!

I would want to try a batch of this made with agave nectar in place of the honey . Just to keep it in the "family".
