  • The goal of this video is to make this beautiful glue gun technique with gold metallic glue easier for all levels of expertise. This is glue gun art for everyone! I don’t always feel comfortable and can be a bit of a klutz using sharp objects such as picture frame glass and razor blades, so this is just a little safer way to do the glue gun stained glass technique for people like me. lol
    In this video I am doing variations on Tanya Mundt's stained glass glue gun technique that was debuted on ‪@HeatherMaderArt‬ 's channel recently. ‪@TiffanyRemijn‬ and I show you ways to make this technique a little simpler and safer and show you some modifications of our own.
    I use some beautiful colourarte PrizmPour paints and some really beautiful mica flakes from colurarte as well. Other artists you should check out that do beautiful glue gun art:

    Great take on the technique! It's Tanya btw :) i do mine on glass cause if I make a boo-boo I can easily cut it out and redo a section. Plus I first started doing it on glass with alcohol ink but used the glue as a resist. When I started doing pours I'm like hey, I can use that glue outline instead of throwing it out!

      Tanya you are such an inspiration my dear! I love the seamless way you blend the beauty of the fluid pours with the beautiful line work of the scenes you create! I love working on the silicone mat because I can also redo sections if I mess up but I am not to good with the razor blades. lol Thank you again my friend! 🙏🏻💕

    I just came across this video and I must say that your work is lovely. And the material you used for the mermaid’s scales is stunning!
    You mention AB Creative in the description box. She uses the swipe technique for beautiful silhouettes, and also uses the glue gun for several images. However, since she works directly on the canvas it shortcuts some of the steps you applied here.

    • @lancesfluidfusion
      @lancesfluidfusion  10 місяців тому +1

      Hey Helena,
      Thank you so much! Yes I know AB does some hot glue directly on canvas. I do that as well on some pieces, however this was about the popular “Tanya Mundt” technique and is an alternative to using razor blades and glass.

    Lance, this glass artist is giggling about your fears of cutting yourself (a friendly giggle of course) even my grandson had to wait until the age of 10 before joining me to learn the art of glass :) When I oil paint, I use a glass palette for the oils (can be frozen between sessions etc.) There are holders and special blades (that slide into them). I use these for cleaning the door on my woodstove and cleaning off the glass palette from old oil paint etc. These can be found in any hardware store. Try one and let me know what you think. Hope this little tip helps your "fears" 🤭🤣 of cut fingers. By-the-way, beautiful work. Also, try taping off the edges of the glass with painter's tape.

    • @lancesfluidfusion
      @lancesfluidfusion  Рік тому

      Hi Irish,
      Well it’s not so much the edges of the glass that can be the cutting hazard, but the razor blades that are suggested to scrape with in the other suggested technique. Truly I’m just trying to show an easier way to do this technique because the glue jus easily peels off the silicone mat with no razor blades or scraping necessary. Really I was being more tongue and cheek about the cutting of myself but it is a danger as Heather Mader does cut herself in her video. lol 😉🙂

      Hey Lynder,
      What type of pouring technique are you wanting to try? For a lot of different types of pouring techniques you would use American Floetrol and mix with your tube paints. That is one more simple or common form of pouring medium. You can also message me on Facebook if you have more questions or would like more help. m.facebook.com/1528320231/

    If you use an Overhead Projection Plastic sheet, the glue simply peels off. Because it's clear, you can trace virtually any design, in part or as a whole, then transfer the design to another surface.

    I wanted to see how you actually did the background for the mermaid, but you were shaking the camera so much and then you sped it up - it about gave me a migraine! I wanted to see how you make those swirls and pull the lines down, but I couldn’t look at it so maybe you have done that on other videos - I’ve never seen your channel before, so I’ll keep looking. 🫣
