  • Until there are better options for lowering the Honda Navi… This is where we’re at. Simple DIY on how to remove the front suspension to cut or remove the springs. I really do NOT recommend removing the springs, and if you cut the, do it at you’re own risk. Start with small adjustments or try springs from another set of forks from another model. Curious to know how much travel was lost? Nice touch with the CF wrap on the forks.

      Honestly I don’t weigh a lot so it’s difficult to tell while sitting on it in the garage. I’m guessing about 1.5-2” at most. I’ll have to compare it to the other Navi when it’s warmer and I can ride comfortably.

    Hi, Just Curious to know the reason behind lowering of front suspension, I am fiddling with my Navi to improve ride quality, Will post my observations later. BTW the Video has come out nicely, Congratulations.

      Mostly just for aesthetics. Does not make the bike ride better if you do it this way. At some point I’ll buy some different forks and attempt to improve the suspension but this is really just for looks and to show “how to” do it yourself.

    Dude, I got the navi for my first bike and i saw a little oil or grease and everyone is saying leaky forks are bad 🙄. Im on the heavy side though (300#) so im trying to find any forks that are more heavy duty. Do you know of any? I'd appreciate the help!🙏

      Unfortunately not yet. I’ve been a bit distracted with my many other projects but at some point I plan to figure out what it takes to use Grom parts. The front forks on these are as low budget as functionally possible in 2022+! 🤣 If we can use oem Grom stuff, then real upgrades are possible.

      That’s included with the OEM windshield. Thats how it’s mounted.

    So people vinyl wrap those forks? I wanted to add some color there

      Yep, super easy just make sure they’re real clean and dry or the wrap will come off and rub the tire.

    What light do you have ? I’m thinking about swapping out the original light

      It’s from theretrofitsource.com I cut the original headlight up and modified it.

    Wait so there isn’t any fork fluid in there?

    • @xtramediumminimoto
      @xtramediumminimoto  Рік тому +2

      Nope. These are the same basic design as z50 or a minitrail. I keep hoping someone will figure out what’s needed to swap Grom parts over. Eventually I’ll try it myself, I just have too many projects. Lol

      @@xtramediumminimoto I was thinking about swapping over the triple tree and forks from a Grom. Shouldn’t be too bad. I’ll post a vid if I do it and tag you
