Dollar 717i Fountain Pen and Dollar Ink

In this video I take a look at some fountain pens and inks from Dollar, a company based in Asia. I take a closer look at the Dollar 717i and do a writing sample with this pen, also using Dollar inks.

Hola! No conocía esa marca. Acá en Argentina hay dos plumas a la venta, usadas claramente y estoy con ganas de comprarlas. Al igual que Click,una marca india con plumas flexibles de muy buena calidad. Debería realizar videos ASMR de escritura, tiene una caligrafía muy buena, creo que te lo dije en algún comentario. I've had a few 717s, &, although the nib quality is variable, when you find a good one it does a superb job.

I am very impressed with the one I have, although it seems a little prone to leaking, but that is something I can overlook

I got the 717 version that stub but a bit slanted, and the student pen 2 "that somehow like the glam you had". The 717 a bit weird flow or maybe mismatched ink (noodler bsar). Then the student pen 2 just super wet but with iron gall ink (salix in my case) that became perfect. For price about 1buck USD (717), and half buck (student pen2). It become my goto for permanent ink, and any ink that stain, or quirky.

Come on, writing with a Dollar pen on a Rhodia paper is a bit odd

That is true. Have you used these pens before?

@@onemorepen No. However I have used cheap eye dropper pens from India. They write well, but burp at the most unexpected moment and make a mess on the paper. Many times they stain your fingers too.

@@cvk1958 Oh, dear. I expect inky fingers almost as a mark of honor for using fountain pens, but big blobs of ink on my correspondence would be distressing!

It's cheap but good pen and ink at a fraction of price you can by four pen in one dollar.
