Herman needs to understand that he created a historical musical heritage that will be remembered for centuries, this song is one of the most chosen to cover not only because it is good, it is a milestone in the history of power metal.

On point. Pple play this for the same reasons they play the solo in “Sweet child of mine- Guns N’ Roses. Nobody will ever played as great as slash did but to a lot of people just being able to do it is a validation of their skills to themselves.

I love the fact that Herman just acknowledges that it takes far too long to learn a song like this and there's not a lot gained from it. I love how he just confesses it's torture and there's not much point to learning it because of how much you need to practice it. There isn't much of a way to express yourself through a song like this either when you have to practice it day in day out just to remember how to play it. Such a humble dude....

Why wouldn’t they ask the 17 yr old (at the time, 4-1/2 years ago) Tina F’ing S, which is better than all of them technically? She shreds TheDooo, Herman, and Cole! She plays stuff on the guitar that they struggle with. Ex: TheDooo [at 24y/o- - only plays 25 seconds of Moonlight ( actually only 15 seconds). Cole plays it, but not as well as a 17 year old.[and he played it as a 23yo.]. I’ve heard all three. They all do Dr. Viossey’d version. The only danger to her version is

@@taylorgang2237 Not one song. TheDooo started playing guitar at 12. That’s “Ironman” and “Smoke on the Water” crap. Look at Tina S at 12. She has her own page also. There is a reason why very notable ppl shouted her out on Twitter, starting at when she was 13. And she played them at that age, as well as TheDooo nowadays. Herman Li, as far as I can tell, is the only one that knows TheDooo, at the young age of 27. Do you think I don’t believe TheDooo is an incredible guitarist? He’s phenomenal! And when you reach the level of mastery that Tina has, of course you can mimic songs with relative, or perfect pitch. Do you think the young lady that played Beethoven (5:56 song averaging 7+ notes/second) can’t play a simple Green Day song first listen? They are famous, like the Ramones, for being a three chord band. I know you’re defending TheDooo. I’m not attacking him. Just pointing out there is a lady out there better than he is, IMO. It is art, so no one is definitively right. Not even me.

Want some more? Herman is bang on: the cuts/edits, so much post-production editing to make it ''cleaner'', this isn't a ''cover'', this is more of a pre-recorded, post-production sample piece......so it's a 5/10 at best. Id rather hear it done one take, live, and f**k the post-production.....

Think Herman is saying, as a creator of this song, he knows each individuals part and he finds it interesting seeing other peoples interpretation of the song because most musicians interpret alot by ear or tabs(someone else's interpretation). So if there's two guitarists, you end up learning a bit of both of their parts combined.

It's so fucking cool seeing you get excited for others doing their best to celebrate your music. Some musicians are dicks. Herman Li, you are a fucking cool ass dude and it would be an honor bumping into you here in LA. Cheers m8, thanks for everything you've brought to the music world.

People missed Herman's point - the cover was not entirely Cole Rolland's own playing. He spliced together parts of Herman and Sam's playing along with some of his own playing. That's why he wasn't super impressed, because the audio is not of Cole Rolland playing the whole song
