Story time, peeps! 📚 I became ARMY in late 2014, and back then even though Vkook was a popular ship, I think most of us saw them as those cute, annoying younger brothers who were super close and always having fun together. But little by little things started changing. You could clearly see it. This moment right here was a game changer. BTS were filming BV1, and then took a small break. When they returned and we saw them here at the Lotte concert, a lot of us noticed this sudden change in Vkook's relationship. A lot of us were surprised, because it was so clear that something had changed. And I'm not gonna lie, a lot of us got the feeling that they were acting a bit... well... more than just friendly.
It was a different time in the fandom back then, though. There wasn't this much toxicity and hating on each other. A lot of that unfortunately came when more of the international fandom joined. But generally I remember how people were very careful when discussing Taekook around 2016, because it was so clear that those two were figuring some things out, whatever those things might have been. We just sort of gave them their privacy. And we weren't judging them - which I sadly see a lot of people do today.
Personally I do think they have had or still have something more than friendship, but that's just my personal opinion as a 28 year old adult who knows what a long-term relationship looks like. But whether they are or aren't, well, that's their business. All I can do is show them love and support regardless 😊💜

I do agree with you that once they become more popular internationally is when a lot of the toxic started. However, some of the hate also came from Korean fans. I use to live in Korea and worked next to some amazing people but they are a very conservative and judgemental country. Not just on same sex relationships but also on appearance and status. A lot of issues are not spoken about "if they don't talk about it, then it not true" mindset. In the Korean culture it is very common for individuals to be close and clingy and I think this has been a blessing for Taekook and has helped them to not be judged as harsh bc how they see it in Korea is normal. I live in the US now where it is accepted to be in a same sex relationship but being close and clingy like this is not normal for friends of the same sex but for couples or individuals who are intimate. With that being said in other countries same sex relationships are not accepted and being close and clingy is not part of their culture and looked at it is wrong. Since 2014 I have seen many International countries and their fans give hate not to just Taekook but also the ones who support them. I get it if in your beliefs you don't agree with same sex relationships that is your right but what is not your right is to push those beliefs off on other people. Just because someone doesn't live the way you think they should doesn't make it wrong. If watching Taekook or being apart of a fandom of a band who supports LGBTQ bothers you than you are free to leave because BTS & Army does not need people like you. No matter who you are or where you are from you do not have a right to tell anyone who they can or cannot love. Thank you for supporting Taekook.

I became a taekooker just because of this moment. I used to be an ordinary listener of bts songs and then l randomly watched a taekook video which contained this moment l observed it by myself. NOW I can say that l am an Army bcz of taekook!
After watching Taekook from 2013 to current I agree that this is the time that their relationship went to a different level. This was the start of something very special and emotional for them. At this time they did not know how many hurdles they were going to face. Because of those hurdles there was heartache but that love grew into something untouchable and into what we have today. If only the judgmental people in this world had one ounce of love in their heart as Taekook have for each other it truly would be a better world. I don't ship Taekook I support Taekook 100%. Nobody in the world has the right to tell someone that they cannot be in love with someone or cannot be with them, PERIOD.

It's really hard to tell bc on the one hand they really seem to have something going on between eo,one the other hand you have to keep in mind that it's normal for hetero male korean to have body contact in public.Also their label know that girls go crazy about every moment they lay their eyes and hands on eo, showing homeoerotic behavior is expected from label bc girls go crazu=bigger sales.

That fabled broship is BS. Yes male Koreans are not as anal as Western males when it comes to touching each other outside of sports. However, skinship is still used as a way of comic relief rather than normality. Anything remotely sexual is a no-no and is ridiculed. Look at kdrama and kmovies where bromance is displayed, it is always done as comic relief (Goblin, Odysee, Coffee Prince etc). You can even see it in Run BTS when Jin had to kiss Namjoon's cheek (and they ridiculed it), or when Hoseok teased V about kissing. While Hoseok got embarrassed and showed the typical reaction of 'gay panic/comic relief', V would have gone for it if not for JK present as well.
As for doing it for girls to get bigger sales? Nope, some shippers are teenies who want to ship their biases only as close friends and not as sexual partners (for other women or e/o). A lot of these shippers are even homophobes due to their upbringing or religion or whatnot.

@@ilfbforever7292 Yes, Fanservice is common on kpop world and every single kpop group is indulged in it and Taekook also provides Fanservice like others, but they are also different from others, like if they are close and have skinship and display affection towards each other even when fans aren't present. Also the thing that makes people ship them hard is because most of their moments are hidden or aren't meant for fans to know about it. They have also been spotted wearing couples rings many times. Twice because fans gave it to them, but other times, they did it on their own. Also, recently they were spotted wearing cartier nail bracelets, which is either worn by married couple or by people who are in committed relationship. I'm not saying that they ARE boyfriends for sure, but the thing is, compared to all other ships giving Fanservice and stuff, they are totally different and Hybe (Bighit) actually tries to hide it. You can find videos related to it. Like, why would the company want to hide people giving fanservice or are just being friendly together but can instead make use of it like they used to do in the early days. Like there are so many things that seem weird or questionable when it comes to this couple, especially the fact that Dispatch was also involved in it makes them feel like a real couple.
