Hey toad if you want to do dragons efficiently whilst using the least amount of something as possible you have to go two people place three and then you place two and then get first and that's how thirty got both his epic pets hope this helps 🤘
Yes and no. Especially during diana jerry this is only good if youre seriously confident in your damage, as if a random nukes the dragon (which is super common) you potentially cant even roll a pet and waste eyes.

I just fineshed a calamity playthrough, waiting for toad's calamity playthrough
they should make it so you can get an dragon pet from salvaging armor pieces, to help ironmans with dragons and to buff salvaging
chance could be pretty low, like something like 1 in 1000

Hey just wanted to let you know, you actually had a much larger cance on that legendary blaze than what was said.
Using the calculation on the skyblock wiki, your petfind of 188 got you a 35.5% chance of that legendary blaze pet.
The chance was higher, but still, W first try legendary!
Base chance looks more clean in the title than 38.8% chance. Since the common knowledge is that legendary pets are 5x rarer than epics, i wanted to get the message across more clearly that I was crafting a blaze pet
@@Toadstar0 that's true, it does make for a better, more concise thumbnail, i just think bringing up the more exact chances is interesting

This just makes me appreciate the fact I dropped a dragon pet like 6-7 dragons into my first real attempt to get loot from them (it was epic but still) all the more. If memory serves, I did eyes for some dragons here and there, but it was rare, and shortly after getting my dragon pet, I hit dragon bestiary 9.

Lol with salvaging to the dragon alter your lot had to do with your session id so if you can find a good one you can get a ton of really good loot

Wrong! In a few ways,
My main pack is NOT furfsky, it’s auric 16x, it just happens to have a couple select furfsky item textures included.
Secondly they were referring to the new overlay i started using that makes the gui and hotbar rainbow. Which is an edit i made by hand of an existing overlay that was for modern mc versions

toad magic find rolls claws first so if you have high magic find the chance to get a claw is higher and it cancels out your drag chance
It only has a negative effect on your overall pet chance in the high 700s, so dont worry about claw when going for pet.

For ender dragon pet technically 8/8 eyes gives you the best chance. Pets drop per eye placed, not by damage/placing.
Wrong! 2 eyes gives you the best chance as the claw rates will be multiplied by your magic find making you expend more eyes overall! And actually 7-8 eyes is dramatically worse as nobody else will be able to ever take the claw for you

hey toad i wanted to let you know that you can increase getting edrag pets by lowering your magic find and u can do so by disabling magic find pot from god pot in the skyblock menu
also toad if you place more eyes you get higher chance and if you got higher place you increase your chance getting edrag

False actually! Magic find only has worse effects well into the 700s. So theres no reason to bag your stats unless a superior spawns and youre avoiding horn.
Also similarly more eyes doesnt make pet better, in fact its ever so slightly worse to do more than 4. 4 is just the lowest number that gurantees you a pet roll without needing to place high.
Edit: also placing high does nothing. Everyone that has the weight to roll pet gets a chance. If two people both get pet, the game picks randomly. Higher place doesnt get any extra bonuses (i learned this midway through)

Congrats on the leg blaze I which I could have gotten a leg blaze pet on my iron man sadly all the pets I craft been epic beside the mitril golem pet which I didn't care about
I think the legendaries i got were mithril golem, blaze, and wither skeleton.

Sold it when i first made this profile as it was worth 10m and the best way to get money on ironman was wart farming at 2m/hr.
So i saved 5 hours doing that, while nowadays i only have to mine for 2.5 hours to upgrade it, saving me time long term

Optimal magic find is the highest you can get, as it doesn’t harm you well into the 700s

Anyway, at 727 magic find, it's about a 5.42% chance which would be actually really cool

POV: You're watching this as an ironman who went from a Bonzo Staff/Frozen Scythe with Tara Chestplate staright to Frozen Blaze, JuJu and Blaze pet(got an epic craft). Safe to say I got from struggling in F4 to consistently being the last one alive on F7 and soloing M1

Normally it only shows your last known pets, if i got dragon id have kept it in a chest of course, but for blaze i turned my api on at one point during jerry so the game remembered i had blaze haha. The video was supposed to be about dragon pet, but i changed plans because it didnt happen

Sorta, but mostly no. Its a massive myth that has little merit. The only time you want your mf to be low is on superiors to avoid horn. But on every other dragon you want the highest combination of magic find and pet luck. Claw only starts to harm your rates well into the 700’s. So there’s no reason to intentionally bag your stats on a dragon thats not superior

No. Pet is affected by magic find too, and claw only starts to harm your rates after over 700 magic find, so there’s no reason to intentionally lower your mf unless a superior spawns and you dont want horn

You should always disable magic find from the potion effect to roll less claws (from the booster cookie menu)
No! Do not do this ever. It is still massively beneficial to have high magic find well into the 700’s. There’s no reason to be intentionally lowering your magic find unless its to avoid getting dragon horn from superiors.

doing the probability math, you have around a 38% chance of getting a dragon
It was much higher than that. Well over 67%. As I hit odds for it (1.04% chance per dragon, roughly 120 dragons fought) closer to a 72% chance to have the pet. Cumulatively adding my previous 45 dragons with unknown mf pl stats, im at around an 80% chance that i should own the pet by now.

Was thinking the same thing, but also its quite interesting that people make the mistake that the probability would be np (n being the number of trials and p being the probability of success) as that is both the expected number of pets and the first term of the binomial expansion of the probability so for small p its about right.

Wayyyyyy too risky. People often hunt dragons to nuke them for bestiary, especially during jerry or diana. This could result in me missing daedalus swaps, or worse not even getting a pet roll at all. Not worth unless youre confident in your damage and the lobby.
