I loved these commercial for their entertainment value they represent a big part of my childhood so I'm also sentimental about them but no self respecting Italian woman would serve her family sauce from a jar. I think you'd have to go to confession over that.
Last year, they stopped selling Ragu in Canada. The manufacturer said they couldn't keep up with demand for their product, so they had to stop exporting it to Canada.
I'm kind of surprised they haven't moved production up to Canada like so many other American companies have. Baker's chocolate was originally from Dorchester Massachusetts but now it's made in Canada.
My parents aren’t even Italian, but I grew up in an Italian neighborhood on the Jersey shore, and I never ate spaghetti sauce from a jar until I moved to New York City. You just didn’t do that in the 70s.
Better than moms and who has the time quite frankly unless mom doesn’t have a job and her job is where it should be taking care of the family, correct?

As an Italian diabetic, ragu is off the menu. I never noticed the amount of sugar in jarred red sauce.

Unlimited special family occasions have revolved around products like a jarred sauce. Don't be such a snob.
