The whole thing with "this is a big world but we only see the characters in a bowling alley/office/crater" is probably something to do with the fact that set design and art departments are unionised and regulated to a level that CGI and animation departments aren't, so they can get people to work longer hours for less money...that's why everything is green screened in Marvel these days. It's cheaper if nothing is real.
That scene of them running to the apocalypse escape ship felt more like a greenscreen room to me than any other Marvel property. They must have had a really small room--just watch, they run but have to stop after a few seconds to let the camera catch up and do a 180 spin around them so they can use the other side of the room for the next part. xD I swear this happened multiple times too. It felt ODD.
When they were making Water World someone said: "You know what this needs, waterskiing barbarians jumping ramps like in Cypress Gardens". And while I am on the subject, wouldn't the ability to drink seawater be a better (and less extreme) evolutionary adaptation than gills?

"I guess there's nothing left to steal from Jack Kirby huh?"
OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOH SNAP!
Considering Eternals is coming out shortly? It's more like that's reserved for the big tentpole movies, not for their direct-to-streaming shows.
Both the mcu and dceu have him to thank
@@RedVelvetUnderground333 Wish they'd ape his actual style though, like Taika Waititi did for Thor: Ragnarok. I'd have probably liked the Snyder Cut more if they just did faithful CGI representations of Jack's New Gods art. I mean Snyder's obviously got his own satyle, but I feel like A bit of day-glo 60's raygun gothic would do the DCEU a whole lotta good.
Thank you for the Rich E Grant appreciation, he really was the best part of the show
I like how they even mentioned that "looking like Kermit the Frog" bit, considering that he himself said that about his Classic Loki suit! :D :D

Dammit, Kevin, bring Daredevil and Co over already...
Except Netfix's Danny Rand can live in the hole they shoved the old Hulk movies into.
@@madisondeal107 Or they could subtly shift the actor (who, if I recall, was hired for his martial arts, not so much his acting ability). Though if the cost of getting LC, JJ & DD back would be DR, I'm willing to roll with it.
Besides, not like we don't need sacrificial characters...
@@Sephiroth144 You would think that's what they would have done, but Finn Jones didn't actually undergo any martial arts training until the second season, which is why the fight scenes marginally improved over the first. Either way, the man could have been a martial arts legend, and that show still would have tanked because of the awful writing/dialogue.
@@mikeskinner315 Which is why I was saying get a better actor; even with the atrocious writing, at least most of the other main cast were selling it... Granted, you absolutely want to start with a firm foundation of good writing- but either way, you want actors who can, indeed, act their way out of that proverbial paper bag.
Since they announced She-Hulk, I keep hoping we'll get Matt Murdock references there and maybe they'll either be friends or friendly rivals who compete over cases. (It'd be a cute dynamic.)
Everybody talking about Loki falling love with himself like Dave Lister didn't get impregnated by himself in 1988.

Pfff I love how Loki doesn't look very muscular with his usual outfit but we not only see just how strong and toned he is when the vaporized his clothes. But the shirt hugs him just enough to show off his muscles.
I am so happy that "hair flips" made it into this honest trailer! I have...honestly...been waiting for this one on Loki and hoped so much that the absurd, and so very annoying, amount of hair flips would be pointed out!

"rick morty introduces portals to the MCU"
Avengers and Doctor Strange: Are we a joke to you?
I think he meant inter-dimensional portals.
This one just popped into my head.
Please say: "I am a trainer at SeaWorld, and I am burdened with glorious porpoise."
Underrated
From now on, every other role Tom Huddleston plays will be a Loki variant
Much better, now every character in every film, series, videogame, etc. Is a variant of the actor who plays them

Why from now on? War Horse Loki!
Always has been

For Sylvie, I would have said "Up all night to get Loki"
Mobius would work well with that lol
"Please sign to verify this is everything you ever said" anyone else think that stack of paper was WAAAAY to small for Loki.
"Most people do themselves everyday. Like, multiple times a day. And the timeline is just fine. Trust me. (clears throat)"

“This machine is gonna keep cranking until we’re all in Waterworld!”
I can’t tell if they just missed a potential jet ski joke, or that choice of reference was the point.
0:45 to be fair it is only that effective because this Loki didn't go through it all the slow way so he doesn't have time to process and forget each event so it hits harder
Loved the CHRONO TRIGGER reference. Best RPG game ever!
Yeah agree
Yea, good to know OP is too, though I don't think the joke landed with most of his audience
lol yeah i don't think people got that one
That's all I kept thinking about whenever they brought up "the End of Time". Was half expecting Gaspar to show up.
Anyone else notice how the windows behind Kang looked like a Mickey Mouse head? Not only a clear easter egg about Disney, but he also gave quite a long speech about how he isn't the enemy/villian we thought he was while practically being framed by a Disney logo (anyone else getting the idea of subliminal messaging?)
Usually, if you watch Disney Channel, they always have a section called "Hidden Mickey" to make the audience find the Mickey Mouse head. I guess, it's one of them.
Mickey Mouse is the real villain! 🤣😂
I mean, subliminal messaging ain't real (the type that _is_ real isn't like this either), and I did grow up with the hidden mickey thing like @Magareth did, so I agree with Magareth!

Do a lot of people not know that they're robots?
I enjoyed this series.
Especially liked the big bad conundrum. He was maintaining order by preventing many versions of himself from coming into existence, so by killing him you unleash him in vast legions.
The part about Tony not letting Hulk use the elevator is half of the truth, it definitely wouldn't have happened if Tony didnt try to grab lunch from 2012 while also stealing the Space Stone.
Wormmon and Veemon are excellent
@@PeterParker-ff7ub I've always been a fan of Dragons. Veemon, Red Eyes Black Dragon, and Gible are just a few.

Is nobody gonna talk about the fact that they didn’t even mention the ms minutes jump scare?
My head canon: Kid Loki is the Loki that succeeded in the snake trick
The whole thing with "this is a big world but we only see the characters in a bowling alley/office/crater" is probably something to do with the fact that set design and art departments are unionised and regulated to a level that CGI and animation departments aren't, so they can get people to work longer hours for less money...that's why everything is green screened in Marvel these days. It's cheaper if nothing is real.
Also, it's much cheaper to animate a cloud of gas guarding a hogwarts between a couple of black holes than actually building them.
also because life happens in places, not spaces?
Why not just unionize the CGI and animation departments too? They shouldn't be slaving away

No, killing Crossbones was ridiculous
When they were making Water World someone said: "You know what this needs, waterskiing barbarians jumping ramps like in Cypress Gardens". And while I am on the subject, wouldn't the ability to drink seawater be a better (and less extreme) evolutionary adaptation than gills?
OMG someone else that remembers Cypress Gardens
considering seals and dolphins? Yeah, you're probably right. Hell, full flippers would probably be a smaller evolutionary jump than secondary breathing organs.
