Great review! Just picked up this bag for an everyday commuter. As a cyclist that sometimes hops off curbs and berms etc, please DO NOT get rid of the waist strap! I can’t tell you how many bags I looked at that would have been great options if they had a waist strap.
Been going around with this backpack for almost 7 years. It simple yet compact, my 14 inch laptop and mirrorless perfectly fit into it shape. My tips is to clean the locks and zipper and frequently coat it with mineral oil, especially if you are going wet. Mine got easily smells.
@@BlueSky-iz9gj My way to clean the whole backpack is by soak it in water at lukewarm temperature. Swab with soap, then scrub it, rinse and dry. I'm preferably use liquid detergent, so it wouldn't leave grains on your backpack. You can use sponge or toothbrush to scrub mucky parts, just don't scrub hard with the metal parts. Dry it. After you clean it, don't forget to coat the locks and zipper with mineral oil, swab it gently. Do not use washing machine, the bag wouldn't clean completely and could damage the bowl (Personal experience).
I’m looking for a personal item bag(definitely Pacsafe) for an upcoming trip to Iceland. Just wondering on what the best travel one everyone likes most. I just want to be able to put a small compression cube, book, snacks and a drink in. Plus the usual purse stuff. Thanks one and all. 😊
I’ve been buying pacsafe more than 11 yrs now… I feel like the quality changed. I still have my old ones and the exomesh seems thinner esp. on the straps and don’t cover the back part of the bags anymore.
Good review. Was the pocket for the laptop made for a laptop, or did it just fit? I'm trying to figure out if the laptop is protected against bumps etc?
Thanks! It's made for a water bladder. The back side is very padded but doesn't have a false bottom (so it goes to the bottom of the bag) and it's fairly thin fabric between it and the inside of the bag.
Thanks for your detailed review. I add to the what I would change part that the breast strap is far too low even in the highest position. And the backpack itself is a bit long for women below 1.70m, it hits the butt in an uncomfortable way.
You'll want to check with your airline for the right size. But I'd say it's probably too big. I actually take my Pacsafe Metrosafe X bag as a personal item, BUT I mostly fly KLM who aren't very picky. If you want info on that one, I made this video: ua-cam.com/video/o26fhN_veHg/v-deo.htmlsi=g4TKBQNXjmERyS3P
Happy to help! Just to clarify, I haven't seen them picky with what goes under the seat, but of course you never know if you get someone having a bad day and gets really picky. But in the dozens of flights I've taken with them, it's never been a problem.
I really appreciate getting the female perspective which might be different than when I watch a guy reviewing. Do you have a recommendation for an older woman backpack? Thanks. Well done! 😊❤
Backpacks are pretty personal based on body type and needs. What are you looking for? Size, daypack vs luggage style, features? Maybe people here can help your find one you might like! I'd also recommend the Packhacker UA-cam channel because they review a lot and have an incredibly engaging community!
What's your favorite travel backpack?

Thank you so much for this perspective!

I definitely agree. My husband has taken this bag for himself and loves it. It's a bit long for me.
Is it likely to work as a personal item; does it fit under the airliner seat infront of you?

Updated to say, both bags are about the same size. And like I said, I use mine as a personal item.
@@aWanderlustForLife Thanks! Also thanks for the info about KLM -- I might have to use them and wasn't sure how strict they are.

2:38 does the tile tracker work though RFID protection?
Can the bag fit a 16-inch MacBook?

Thanks for the detailed review :)
Glad it was helpful
J'aime le pacsafe vibe backpack.
I Got a PAC safe back pack to
Ive just ordered one of these, do you think itll be a problem as far as personal item bag? Ill never be travelling by Ryan Airr.. 😂
Yes, it could be one and I've never had a problem taking it as a personal item. BUT I wouldn't promise it.
@aWanderlustForLife many thanks for the reply, your review helped me decide on a product from Pacsafe.
Thanks WOW THAT'S AWESOME 👍✌️👌💘💌💯♾️🙃🎯👽😇
So beautiful
that thing look like it can fit a 24 in laptop. lol. not sure why they say 13 inches on their site.
Width wise, the one I used is about as big as you can get. If it's longer and not wider, then you could definitely go bigger.
Hi do you need more travel backpack to rich your channel video? if you are interested in , maybe we could find some way to work together
👍
Thanks for always watching and supporting, Jack! Dankjewel!
