OP. 20 is indeed the first masterworks written by Haydn in the string quartet domain . Very clever rendering! 💗💗💗💗

Not really fair, the earlier ones are very good and more importantly were selling well, so Haydn took a big risk in this move but it worked. No longer "background music ".
