great teacher to make the cello sing, both are great cellists, I never came this far :)
Todo un placer escucharle! tan « limpio »!
17:30 - “Nobody can play it”
Actually there is one person for sure. Miklòs Perènyi does play like that.❤
Fantastic teaching! Such wit and knowledge.
TBH, the "student" cellist is already playing so well
Boah krass! ❤
Maestro Ludwig is more Italian than German when he thinks about music... even though also the composer is German! I like this! 😊
What does Maestro holding in the right hand at the frog? I can see a yellow band. 😮
He has been playing with an elastic band for many years. I don't know the reason for sure.
I read somewhere it was because of an injury. Now he uses bands to hold the bow.
Some people say it is an sort of an obsession. My teacher said it made him have more control with the bow by having it always to his finger tips
Just ask him maybe haha
what is that yellow thing in his pegbox?
an earplug
That is two pieces of foam, ear-plugs to stop possible vibration between the strings. Obviously there was some kind of feedback from this very beautiful and powerful cello. It is an amazing instrument played by a brilliant cellist.
It is a completely new idea to me.
