Robin you’re an amazing paper crafter/teacher!!🎉❤ Thanking you for posting this tutorial. Watching on the replay on this long Veteran’s Day Weekend 2022! 🤩🥰👍🏾✨🪅
Color blocking is fantastic! It’s also a technique used in modern quilting! Love the look of these cards. The color blocking really adds a punch! I think I’ll use my card stock first and then stamps! Thanks so much Robin - you rock! This was so much fun.
I remember wearing color blocked dresses back in the 80’s (?) . Loved them! Made me look so slender. They were fun to sew! Like everything, this fashion is cycling back. Glad to see it here in card making. With all your beautiful inspiration, I will never have time for chores again! I can start with both painters’ tape and card stock. I don’t have many stamps with those components, but I can use the acrylic blocks, too! Oh, my, I need to come out of retirement and find a part time job to afford more SU supplies😁
@@deloresangus7117 oh yes! I also had some fun color blocked outfits. I don't know what to tell you about the chores, but perhaps you can just get the bare minimum done and spend more time doing stamping therapy???🤣 I'm super happy you are excited about trying this technique!😃
Hi Robin, Lynn from Australia here - I'm very late today - it's 1pm, Saturday afternoon in Perth, Western Australia as I type this. OMG, once again you have blown me away with all your samples. My mind is in overdrive. Brilliant video, as always, and so much to think about. Enjoy your 4th of July weekend. Hugs, Lynn
Hello Lynn! Always such an expectation to await your comments on the weekly video which I appreciate so very much! I'm very happy to have blown your mind a wee bit! 😆
I missed the live but I watch the replay on Sunday morning before church all of the cards are fabulous I loved all the different techniques can’t wait to try it thank you for sharing your wonderful cards
I will be trying the stamp technique first. They are all lovely I especially like the olive branch ones, the colours you used are beautiful. Thank you so much Robin for the inspiration Robin all I need now is the time 😊❤️
Oh, WOW, Robin! THANK YOU so much! You've taught us/me so many great new things - or one? Color blocking! I LOVE the card stock one, but the others are great too.
Replay, love this technique I love to do doodle art on my cards sometimes so I think I'll give this a try thank you so much for sharing, have a good weekend
Hi Robin, thanks for showing all the ways to colour block. I was wondering if a stamp block could be used for a background. Now I know. Such lovely cards. 💕
Hi there, Judy! Another idea with the acrylic blocks is to spritz them with water after inking and before laying onto watercolor paper. The effect is so gorgeous!😁 Thank you!
Really liked this video! I liked the technique done with stamps. I have used the blocks with watercolor paper and spritzed the acrylic block after inking it. I really liked all your samples! Thanks for sharing Robin!
Would never have thought to use tape inked up. Tried it with a stamp and they turned out nice. Great for nongender specific cards! Thanks for sharing. Gonna save this video!
Hi Debbie! I wish I was smart enough to invent this technique, but am just so glad that it is nearly impossible to run out of stamping techniques to try! I appreciate your comment so much and am glad you are here!😁
Love this technique. You did such a great job showcasing it using a variety of materials. I also liked that it sometimes lead to the ability to make more than one card. My favorite, but I loved them all, was the snowflake. One question? How do you keep your desk so organized (not messy) when creating so many designs? Thanks so much!
Hi Barbara! I truly appreciate your comments and am so happy you enjoyed these projects. Oh my, I'm glad the desk looks organized but you should see the FLOOR!!!!!!!!😂😂😂
I am loving your channel. Two things .... I just watched your Explanation of the Catalog Video. THE BEST EXPLANATION EVER. I am going back to watch it again. I learned so much. Thank you for this outstanding video. Fun .... What is the deal with every Demonstrator online using the word FUN? It must be irritating me I guess. I am pretty much over that word lately. Does Stampin" Up tell you all to use that word in place of other descriptors? Just wondering. Had to ask. Thank you again for the videos. Your explanations are great. But that Catalog Video is Thoughtful, Organized, and Outstanding.
Hi there! Thank you for such great feedback - I appreciate you! I'm thrilled my catalog video was so helpful to you and happy you are finding some useful content on my channel. So how many times did I say "fun"? 🤣 I mean, it IS fun to papercraft, right? No, we are not told to use that word but I guess we must be doing so! I'm glad you're here!😁
@@reallyrobinstamps You do say "fun" quite a bit, but you are not alone. Since I have very little talent, I watch the card videos quite a bit. The best ones are Stampin' Up videos, probably because of the selling aspect, as well as the variety of products and individual ideas of how to use them. So those videos are out there to enjoy. But, if I have heard the word "fun" once, I bet I've heard it a thousand times. Crafting things is a fun thing to do. The sets themselves aren't fun. They might be beautiful, interesting or versitile, and spark the imagination, but It's the doing that is fun. I appreciate the answer. It just seemed like "fun" must be the instructed, go to word.
How do I get in touch with you? I typed your name 2 different ways trying to email but I obviously don't know how it's done. Any way I would like to order a few thing but am at a lost there unless I get it from amazon even then it takes a while.
To order online you can follow this link: www.stampinup.com?hostcode=EF37QQR9 This link will take you directly to my SU! store with the hostess code already linked. Go ahead and email me too so we can connect, ok?😄

You are correct, Janice! I really like the look of color blocked quilts too!
