    Yes! you can use your integrated graphics for this! but depending on the integrated graphics you may be able to make it work instantly or need to adjust the resolution scale slider and adjust your expectations according to your integrated graphics' performance

      Did you try again after today's update? there was an issue that bottlenecked iGPU's, as the notes say

      If you haven't, then you should try again, and make sure to account for things like a possible MUX switch, also please tell me in detail what that "complete mess" is, from there we can work on finding a fix, 680m are pretty good for frame generation and should have no issues

    I’m using a 4K 240Hz monitor, and I have a question I’d like to ask if you don’t mind. If the 5090 delivers 120 frames at 4K resolution, would adding a GPU with performance similar to a 4060 make it easy to achieve 240Hz? Google Sheets shows 175-does that mean 175 frames is the maximum performance? I’m also curious if the ARC B580 would perform similarly.

    My specs: RX 7800xt (high performance) + RX 6600xt (LSFG).
    The games have issued: LoL, Barotrauma, Arma Reforge.
    The solution I find out that, I have to plug display cable from RX 7800xt to monitor first. Open the game -> plug out RX 7800xt -> plug in RX 6600xt. After that, the game works normally.

      @GinoG-d2v Oh I love that GPU, it was the first GPU I tried Dual-GPU's LSFG with, the RX 5600 XT can easily handle 1440p 165 hz, it's very powerful and it applies for LSFG too, if you undervolt both of your GPU's you'll be absolutely fine, LSFG on a non undervolted 5600 XT took like 100W at worst for me but that can easily be dropped with an undervolt
      As for your CPU, considering the resolution you play at, it'll only be on very CPU intensive games where you'll get some sort of CPU limitation

      @JohnDoe-ix4kx 20 днів тому

      @@desmond3245 The best way to use scaling is to lock your base fps to some multiple factor of your monitors refresh rate, if you have a 120hz monitor lock your base fps to 60 and use your i-GPU with x2 scaling, so that would end up being 60 x 2 = 120 fps, or lets say your main GPU only averages say 48 fps, then you would lock your base fps to 40 and use x3 scaling with your i-GPU, 40 x 3 = 120 fps.
      Doing the above ensures the highest number of real frames, with the best frame pacing, latency and image quality, and also limits the number of generated frames the i-GPU has to produce.
      An easy way to test your i-GPUs performance is to go on youtube and play a video at the same resolution you normally game at and make sure the video is only at 30 fps.
      Make sure you're not using any other framerate limiters like RTSS, vsync, driver fps caps etc.
      Then use lossless scaling with the i-GPU to scale up youtubes framerate making sure the "allow tearing" option is selected.
      First start at x2, then x3, then x4 etc... lossless scaling should show both the base framerate and the upscaled framerate, it should look like this,
      at x2, 30/60
      at x3, 30/90
      at x4, 30/90
      at x5, 30/150 etc...
      Keep going until your i-GPU cant keep up, for mine it's x6 instead of being 30/180 my i-GPU shows 28/174
      which means my i-GPU can not scale up to a framerate higher than 174 fps, therefore I always lock my base fps below 87 fps because otherwise my i-GPU can't keep up.
      As long as the framerate I'm scaling up to will be lower than 174 fps my i-GPU will keep up, so if my base framerate was say 20 fps, I could use 8x scaling because 20 x 8 = 160 fps which is less than my i-GPU can produce so it will still work fine.
      *edit: Also changing the resolution scale will alter the above numbers so you can experiment with what works for you, I've found that 75% resolution scale is the best trade off in terms of performance and quality, going lower hurts the image a lot but doesn't really improve performance all that much.

    • @ivanvladimir0435
      @ivanvladimir0435  17 днів тому +2

      Remember, Frame Generation adds input lag that's half of the frame*time* you have, so if you enable it and drop to 30-ish, the game will feel sluggish when compared to not losing any base fps at all and starting with 60 fps, to accurately measure end to end latency though, I don't have the equipment needed, but a certain member of the Lossless Scaling discord server has done tests that show an improvement to the latency
