Hey Maya! Im also a full time recording artist. Ive been singing, writing, acting, producing films professionally for the past few years, and more. I started out with this dream at age 6 and still haven't given up. I finally got my first big deal last year but I felt my creativity started to become lost. I was at such a low point when I was signed. I needed a big change. I happened to search youtube for inspiration and I found your channel. I was soooo intrigued. You're the one that inspired me to move to LA. So I got a part time job in the "mall" lol and been saving up ever since. I just want to make an impact on people's lives the way you did mine and everyone else that tunes into your channel. I want to be recognized and respected as a well balanced and successful artist and person. Hopefully, our paths will cross in LA or somewhere in the world. P.S. Judith- your soul is beautiful!! I´m a singer as well and a fine arts student. I sing in a folk punk band, I quited studying literature after my first year but I love literature and writing poetry and lyrics. After I finish school next year I wanna study two years of sound. My dream is to create a concept album that runs through a story as if it were poetry with powerful simple music and my asthetics on image and sound. I know it sounds a little bit crazy but watching this interview inspired me to say my dreams out loud too and work hard. I love this new series, thank you!

I'm planning my first art show for the summer! I realized I manage so many projects at work, why not manage myself? I wrote a work plan with all of the different pieces I need to create or edit, and gave myself small to-do lists for each. It really helped me to get it down on paper and out of my head! Thanks for the inspiration!
How amazing #southergirlsrock! I am from Hattiesburg, MS about an hour and a half from Mobile, AL. Judith has an amazing voice! The one thing I have and am doing to pursue my dreams are surrounding myself with positive people, those who have similar dreams or have achieved it. I have let go of "friends and friend wanna be's" who may be a professional but was not encouraging. I have learned to accept failed "successes" as motivation and a stepping stone to go further and pursue other paths to my journey. Most of all, I allow God to direct me. I pray when I am successful and when I am barely surviving in all ways. Keep up the amazing work you do and to Judith....Never give up!!!

I want to get into photography, make-up, fashion/sewing, acting , being a vlogger and blogger. The steps I am taking are I have created a blog, an online photography portfolio, a ton of social media accounts a UA-cam account, I'm going back to school and learning how to sew. I hope to live in NYC or LA to further pursue my passion. I also hope to be a motivation for others by setting a great example. Judith girl! I am an aspiring singer-songwriter and the steps I've been taking are just getting myself out there as much as possible. Making covers here on youtube is just not doing it for me. So I've been entering into multiple programs and competitions and making connections. Judith really phrased the whole "not so glamorous as it looks" life pretty accurately. It's difficult and frustrating but I'm hoping it'll all be worth it :)

( i dont remember the name) and then she sat right by me and was so real, humble and cool. my kind of super star!!! As far as my dreams go, i have been wanting to create my own blog and vlog for yearssssss to talk about the challenges i have been facing since finding about a brain tumor and all of the health issues i have been dealing with because of it. I usually don't comment but after this interview I needed to. Its always good to see people chasing their dreams. Always inspires me. I moved to LA on June 1st to pursue my dream of a wardrobe stylist. Since then I've done costume design on several movies and TV shows. And I've had a number of shoots that I styled. The dream isn't here just yet but its on its way. In this transition I've realized that I'm more of an artist than just wardrobe. So come April I will be putting on my first show here in LA. Excited yet nervous about it because it'll be the first time I've done something like this on this level. I'm looking for it to be for me what Reasonable Doubt was for Jay Z. Its a constant grind and reassuring myself that God didn't give me these gifts for nothing. Just progress and faith. Also before I part I would like to say that Maya you're an amazing and beautiful individual and you've inspired me to make a UA-cam channel come turn of the year. I think it'll be interesting. I sing, I started sing on my church choir when i was three. We released a CD and i had 5 mini solos on a medley. For then on i still sang at church then we moved to a different church. At almost every church i went to i sang. When i was in fifth grade my music teacher told my mom and i about a school of the arts in the count in which i live in. I auditioned and my music teacher told me that if i didn't get in that he would retire. I got in! sixth grade i went to this school where i didn't think i would know anyone. I found friends very quickly and i also found that some of my old classmates from third grade had gotten in the school as well. I have been going to the same school since. I am now a freshman in high school. I have only had one solo, but there are more opportunities to come. Just yesterday i had my first piano recital and opened the program singing. I haven't had too many solos but it never fails that when i do have a solo so many people walk up and tell me how beautiful my voice is. I love music dance and all of the arts and if i were to succeed in the arts i would love to, but now i am focusing on school so that i might be able to become a dentist. If your ever in Charleston there is problably a show happening even if its not vocal.
I want to be a recording artist so Im taking steps toward my dream by majoring in music Im way older than most of the kids I go to school with but the movie Judith was is was so inspiring to me…no matter what age you are its never too late to go after what you want! I feel like God is opening up some doors for me to pursue what Im after and Im so grateful even for the little gigs I do here and there right now!!!

Oh and my steps towards my dream ...interior design...i will start school in a month. I moved to a new city because my old one...had little to no demand for interior design. I'm at peace and excited in a well designed room, house, hotel, store, businesses. I can also spend a whole day learning and practicing with makeup. I paint abstract and portraits with acrylic paint, just give me a picture and my music; I lose sense of time. Eventually I want to figure how I can start my own business in all 3. I'm ALL about blank canvases. How am I going to do all 3? And can I tie them together to create a unique business? My next mission to figure out.

My dreams are to be able to help and travel the world through the pieces I make through knitting crocheting. You've inspired me to use UA-cam, I am slowly expanding my skills and making things for my etsy, I am using social media differently, listening to your talks help and more :) and soon I'm going to learn how to sew and make new pieces for next year. This year I was able to raise money for Hounds for Heroes in honor of a friend due to my knitted pieces and I can't wait to keep going, growing and getting stronger. Hello Maya! Thank you for starting this series, as if your previous post were not already inspiring, this series will definitely spark a new kind of fire or shall I say put more fuel on the fire to make it shine brighter. Judith's Hill story is an amazing one and one that I've seen before with many of my friends who are artists, singers, actors. My dream is to perform, I am a singer, a writer, an actor, and I've been blessed to do what I love on a fairly large scale but unfortunately it's not always been as consistent as I would like it to be, but not only that my relationship with God is growing and maturing and the situations, environments I've once been in I don't feel like it uplifts my spirit. I want to be able to use the gifts that God has given me, and use them in a way that uplifts, edifies him, and if I were to be truly transparent I would like to be able to make a living off of my gifts(not rich, no fame), just thriving! I know that I cannot do it alone, so it is also my dream to connect with people on the same page, and let our lights shine ever so brightly together!

I sing, I started sing on my church choir when i was three. We released a CD and i had 5 mini solos on a medley. For then on i still sang at church then we moved to a different church. At almost every church i went to i sang. When i was in fifth grade my music teacher told my mom and i about a school of the arts in the count in which i live in. I auditioned and my music teacher told me that if i didn't get in that he would retire. I got in! sixth grade i went to this school where i didn't think i would know anyone. I found friends very quickly and i also found that some of my old classmates from third grade had gotten in the school as well. I have been going to the same school since. I am now a freshman in high school. I have only had one solo, but there are more opportunities to come. Just yesterday i had my first piano recital and opened the program singing. I haven't had too many solos but it never fails that when i do have a solo so many people walk up and tell me how beautiful my voice is. I love music dance and all of the arts and if i were to succeed in the arts i would love to, but now i am focusing on school so that i might be able to become a dentist. If your ever in Charleston there is problably a show happening even if its not vocal.

I want to be a recording artist so Im taking steps toward my dream by majoring in music Im way older than most of the kids I go to school with but the movie Judith was is was so inspiring to me…no matter what age you are its never too late to go after what you want! I feel like God is opening up some doors for me to pursue what Im after and Im so grateful even for the little gigs I do here and there right now!!!
I first saw her on 20 Feet from Stardom and notice her in a ton of stuff ever since. She's amazing. I can't wait until she's the norm on the radio instead of the current situation.

As a lover of Asian art and culture... and being an African American I absolutely LOVE the mix of the two. Seeing bronze skin with straight or curly kinky hair and Asian eyes and the cheek bones.. lawd! I love all races and nationalities...but it's something about them blasian women lol. Love the interview she was my favorite on the voice. Maya I love your growth! You've come so far & I know ur not done. Blessings.
Oh and my steps towards my dream ...interior design...i will start school in a month. I moved to a new city because my old one...had little to no demand for interior design. I'm at peace and excited in a well designed room, house, hotel, store, businesses. I can also spend a whole day learning and practicing with makeup. I paint abstract and portraits with acrylic paint, just give me a picture and my music; I lose sense of time. Eventually I want to figure how I can start my own business in all 3. I'm ALL about blank canvases. How am I going to do all 3? And can I tie them together to create a unique business? My next mission to figure out.

I have beautiful blasian's in my family...Ethiopian/Filipino whom are gorgeous just like you two. Judith you're right, I have two musician friends and they are always on the musical grind. LA in the house...

My dreams are to be able to help and travel the world through the pieces I make through knitting crocheting. You've inspired me to use UA-cam, I am slowly expanding my skills and making things for my etsy, I am using social media differently, listening to your talks help and more :) and soon I'm going to learn how to sew and make new pieces for next year. This year I was able to raise money for Hounds for Heroes in honor of a friend due to my knitted pieces and I can't wait to keep going, growing and getting stronger. This video was so awesome! Judith Hill is super pretty and talented! Currently, I'm practicing my songwriting, singing, acting, video editing, and guitar to get into an Arts based high school. I'm also expanding my knowledge in the film/UA-cam industry by making my own videos, thinking of new creative musical ideas for my channel, and also trying new things with my singing. Hello Maya! Thank you for starting this series, as if your previous post were not already inspiring, this series will definitely spark a new kind of fire or shall I say put more fuel on the fire to make it shine brighter. Judith's Hill story is an amazing one and one that I've seen before with many of my friends who are artists, singers, actors. My dream is to perform, I am a singer, a writer, an actor, and I've been blessed to do what I love on a fairly large scale but unfortunately it's not always been as consistent as I would like it to be, but not only that my relationship with God is growing and maturing and the situations, environments I've once been in I don't feel like it uplifts my spirit. I want to be able to use the gifts that God has given me, and use them in a way that uplifts, edifies him, and if I were to be truly transparent I would like to be able to make a living off of my gifts(not rich, no fame), just thriving! I know that I cannot do it alone, so it is also my dream to connect with people on the same page, and let our lights shine ever so brightly together!
