Absolutely loved this show especially when Robin was on with Jonathan Winters and you know Carson just loved these guys! I got away from the mess of our reality for 2 hours tonight. I have not laugh like this in a long time. God love them. They should play all the old comedy shows that put smiles back on your face and you can enjoy those by gone days.

people think comedians are funny>>>but there the kids in school who didnt fit in some turn serial killers and some turn to hollywood as entertainers..sad really isnt it??if u actually think about these people they are lost have u ever seen robbin williams even once being normal??its a constant show likes hes trying to impress you...he either had a learning disability in school or he was autistic and his only way to fit in was to be the clown these people dont fit in and as u may have notised he killed himself wonder why??sarcasm......u may think hes funny but whats really funny about laughing at someone hahahaha

      @billybl22 5 років тому +16

@@borderlinespastic_3455 It's pretty obvious that you have never even taken the time to learn who the real Robin was. It's not like he hid his true self all those years from Happy days, up to a couple of years before his death. About the only thing, you got correct about him.. Was that his name was Robin Williams! Take a few minutes and educate yourself on the reason he killed himself.
BTW, most comedians get off on making people laugh, and the harder they can make you laugh, the more they enjoy themselves.. just as some people get off on hearing themselves talk, it doesn't matter if it's facts or bullshit they're spewing (usually the latter) as long as they are talking!

It was maybe a little too energetic for me. Still when he was relaxed and contemplative, he seems to just have a beautiful soul. This is not merely Pure Entertainment Gold, this is a time capsule:
1992 was a Presidential Election Year, and if there is any name mentioned here that you don't recognize, Kids, Google it ("Quayle," "Perot")... and understand the roots of how we got to where we are today.
    Carson's Penultimate "Tonight" show...
Williams was 14 years past his ascendance to national prominence with "Mork and Mindy;" he was 22 years away from his own, self-imposed demise.
Carson shows, yet again, what set him apart (and still does) from every other contender in the late-night arena:
His ability to get out of the way (brilliant though he is, in his own right), and let his guest shine...
Occasionally, the guest needs help, and Carson gives it:
Williams, from his first appearance (October, 1981) to his last (this one, May, 1992) never needed Carson's help, and Carson recognized it (to his credit) and simply gave himself over to Williams, which is why he is laughing, here, harder than anyone in the audience.
Put aside the baggage of the "next-to-last-show:"
If you didn't know this, as you watched it, you would simply see what geniuses these two are.
With the possible exception of appearances in the past by Jonathan Winters, Carson has never laughed harder than he does here; more tellingly, Carson does something at two different moments which absolutely slays Williams.
This is like watching two mutually-admiring (comedy) Samurai compare moves before the elder of the two lays down his sword for the last time.
God Bless them both (and Ed McMahon).

Letterman was close friends with Williams and after his death, Letterman gave a touching tribute to him and said having Williams on the show was like a vacation. Williams could talk Forever and make everyone laugh while his show a huge boast and the studio would be full to capacity. Carson genuinely enjoyed having Williams on his show as did Leno and others.

He's been to Space,Neverland,Agrabah,Jumanji,Hollywood,Africa,Heaven,Hell,Over Seas to speak to our troops and hospitals around the world to help sick children. In school he was voted funniest and least likely to succeed! It just goes to show, it's not about how you start or finish but it's about what you do in between. People think he committed suicide because of depression but a lot of people don't know what was causing the depression and one of the major contributors was that he had a diagnosis of Lewys Dementia and started to get the awful symptoms. I'm amazed that now on every Robin Williams video, there are tons of videos from "Christians" who are actually taunting him, saying he's 'burning in hell' and so forth...I believe they missed the whole "“Judge not, that you be not judged. For with the judgment you pronounce you will be judged, and with the measure you use it will be measured to you. " I do not know what God's judgement was for this man, but I have to believe in a compassionate God who knows Robin spent his adulthood bringing joy to the troops, raising money for charities, and being kind to so many. One foolish act might outweigh all of that, and it might not. We are not the appraisers of that. He acted way more Christ-like than the posers saying things like that about another human being.

It doesn't matter where he went, Christians shouldn't be insulting or bashing anyone. I am a Christian, and I am just sad that he died. What happened afterwards is between him and God, it's not up for judgmental people down here to decide. Christians like that ruin the image of other Christians.

Robin Williams brought so much joy and laughter into this world that he will NOT go to the land of fire. He suffered and his pain was too intense to stay here but we left us all so much happier by his short stay. Thank you Robin, I understand.
