That's a serious looking fly, thanks! 👍
I think your dubbing looks like Kapok.
Nick thx for showing us this fly, I added a little pink to it so I can see it and a personal modification on the ribbing and it helped me get a finicky 18” Brownie on the Neversink yesterday! A lot of tan Caddis and some takes with them as well, it’s not the Delaware but a dam fine river for wading closer to NJ. Cudo's on the Hendrickson Spinner as well, that’s be helping me a lot. Pls keep showing local fly patterns, that work! Cheers
Nice fly! Agree 100% about caddis on the Delaware too. Subscribed!
Another great tutorial, superb attention to detail, thanks for sharing your expertise.
Thanks for a very nice fly.
Awesome tie 👌
Great tied👌 Nice fly👏
Well done. Nice fly.
Hey great tie, just wondering of you use it on stillwater?
You mean lakes? If so I haven’t fished a lake in years. When I did, I fished streamers. Back then it was just small buck tails or muddler minnows.
Do you use a loop knot to help it sit correctly in the film?
Hey Dave, nah not on dry flies (I use them on streamers for movement). It’ll orientate the right way though. It really doesn’t have a choice. It’ll soak up water and sink until it hits the wing. Now if that was a stiff hackle, then it would sit high. But that soft one is a sponge. Thanks
Get your OCD under control 🤣
