What if card get loss ....and unable to block card becz of xyz reasons ???
My Bank (HDFC) Doesn't give an option for a card without Wifi, they say its RBI Rule, so i discontinued the same, however most CC & Debit cards are now with this new feature as default, how do i complain about the same, can anyone help here to put a stop to this, this feature should come as an option and not default, 2k is not a small amount for anyone to lose hard earned money. just to save a couple of seconds or even minutes the risks are higher.

Why to give WIFI technology in Debit cards, why to buy RFID protective wallets.
Waste of money. No need for these kind of cards
--> there is no opt in feature.... visa is pushing out paywave cards.... there is no option to disable this feature
--> so 5 transactions are allowed .... when stolen or lost.... so i can be screwed for Rs 10000 - (more if i dont realise the loss for a couple of days)
--> so you want me to buy a special wallet .... and spend money ... when card company is saving money
--> some banks are not allowing non paywave cards
--> but if the card is lost or stolen.... someone can use this card ... up to 5 times a day...... at a non suspecting merchant ...

Keep 2 NFC cards back to back so it will not work anyhow as due to 2 cards POS machine will not able read cards
you cannot guarantee that... sometimes it may ... .sometimes it may not... depends on the strength of the rf field and the sensitivity of the reader.... i will not risk it

Correction: POS machines can read your card through your wallet. I personally just put my wallet on the POS machine and transaction goes through. If you are worried, just keep two contactless cards next to each other in your wallet. That will result in POS machine receiving incoherent data and no transaction will go through if someone tries to read card through your wallet. You will have to take out the one card and wave it in front of POS machine for the transaction to go through.
We can turn off tap to pay option from app.
