The best of the best there are no better around. I just found this man last night. With a few whiskey I can see the stones dancing on the back yard. Has he ever been to Ireland. We will never let him back. What a talent.
I have heard this tune played hundreds of times in my 65 years but this has got to be the best version of them all.Great picking to a wonderful tune.I am so lucky to have found your site.
Reminds me of my dad he has passed now. When I was little I wood sit at his feet and listen for as long as he wood play. Keep the music going for a long time!
Best I have heard in my 76 years, my friend Bill used to play it really well, Bill is playing it in Heaven now. Thanks For bringing back memories my friend.
What a Great rendition! I play piano, and one of my first tunes, "Learning to "Ad'Lib" Was playing this tune with my Uncle! I was 12 years old! Always had a soft spot in my Heart for this song! Thank you for bringing back some Great memories! I'm sure my deceased Uncle is smiling down on you! Roy.
Dedepick is a great picker,I visited a guitar shop last week who know him well and he's awesome ;she said his new cd will come out in late fall or Dec. His rendition of wildwood flower is as good as I've heard and love the sound of his guitar. Thanks for the post.
i could listen to this every second of the day my dad and my brother played this and both are deceased now and it brings me joy to hear such a fine version thank you so much
Love your rendition of Wildwood flower, truly superb! The song is on of my favourites of all time and I often listen to Duane Eddy's version which I love, however, having heard your fab version he has serious completion!! Thank you for sharing this great instrumental.
okay so, i grew up on this song, my uncles mastered this song, its my moms favorite song on a six string guitar, this is the best I've ever heard it played.
Very Nice i love the key changes best version of wildwood flower thats ever going to be played! that man is a guitar picker, like that other guy said i play the song but i feel like i have no clue what im doing whatching this man,
man...... you really can play a guitar!!!!!!!!! perfect timing....picking.....I've heard world champions play several times.....you are world class...go man....go!
I thought of this tune on the way home from eating at crakerbarrel and poped up this vid as soon as I got home. You had me slappin my knee and grinnin and I like it.
Great playing indeed. For me, trying to learn how to play the guitar was an impossibility. I just couldn’t get my head around “dancing all over the fretboard and plucking the appropriate string. Trying to get my brain to function and get the co-ordination just evaded me. I tried five times in my life to learn the guitar, only to fail. My last attempt was 10 years ago when l was 60 years old. I love the sound of guitars but l had to accept the fact that l will never “conquer the guitar”. However, l can play a harmonica pretty darn good though. I’ve been playing harmonica for 63 years now, at an amateur level of course. 😊
