‘p' is like older brother or sister, it used as a sign of respect or familarity and khun means you, but you can say khun mae, your mother is also a sign of respect to someones parents

Not every Thai can pronounce R sound. I managed to pronounce R sound when I was 10 years old by accident. It's quite okay to skip R sound. For example, ครับ Krab - many people pronounce just คับ kab
