Beautiful dress! Thank you so much for this video, it was easy to follow along. I’ve been wanting to do shirring on a dress for a long time but afraid to. I’ve watched many videos but after watching this one I’m gonna give it a try! Love that fabric! 👗🪡🧵🥰
Thank you! ☺️The loops I attached to the dress go through the ends of the ruffled sleeves and are tied up. It’s easy, and if I would want to wear it without the sleeves the ties flap down the inside of the dress.

What a lovely dress. You are so talented! I’m curious what type of mat you have under your sewing machine? It looks perfect for keeping the machine from sliding away.
I love your choice of fabric as always, and isn’t it interesting how shirring can transform a print? I might backstitch next time I shirr anything now you’ve given us permission 😉, I’ll feel my stitches are safer! If you haven’t tried it, I thought the removable straps might be fun crossed over, or even a single strap going diagonally across shoulder or halter neck style!
Thank you! The print on the fabric really make it special, reminds me of a popular dress by & other stories from a few years back. Love the strap ideas ☺️✨
Hi everyone, thanks for watching 💙 Here is the link to the fabric I used: www.fabricgodmother.co.uk/strokes-cotton-poplin-blush/
I love a shirred dress so flattering to wear. Your fabric choice is stunning thanks for sharing
Thank you so much! The fabric is beautiful, I am very tempted to get more of it 🫠✨

Amazing, glad it was helpful! I’m sure yours will turn out great 🪡✨
Thank you! I've always been terrified of shirring and stayed way clear of it but you've made it look so easy that I might just be brave enough to try!
You can do it! Thanks for watching ☺️
Your choice of fabrics and then how you use them always looks so beautiful.
Thank you so much! ☺️
so satisfying to see I'm not the only one who struggles with the elastic thread rolling about while filling the bobbin 🤣
Oh gosh haha, the most annoying part of the process!
Beautiful Dress 😍😍😍 the fabric made it perfect. I think this is the easiest tutorial in your channel but still with a beautiful result as always
Thanks so much 😊🥰
I love how the dress turned out, so simple. Did I missed how the straps are actually attached?
No, she completely missed to show us how she attached/detached the detachable straps.

@@ThrillsandStitches thanks for replying but still not clear to me. Lol.
Beautiful dress indeed! Can you tell us how you attach/detach the straps?

Suggest making any final size alterations after steaming (ironing without touching) the shirring as this causes it to shrink & tighten up.
Definitively!
Please make patterns for the romper and baby doll dress.
Not sure I can promise, but I’ll keep it in mind!
How clever was that! You could have bought it from that fancy shop 🙂
Thank youuuu 🥰 I quite love how it turned out 🪡
What a lovely dress. You are so talented! I’m curious what type of mat you have under your sewing machine? It looks perfect for keeping the machine from sliding away.
Thank you so much! It's a faux-leather mat by a brand called Knodel - got it off Amazon, they come in lot's of colours.

Wow, beautiful dress and fabric too, actually.. can i ask you where you got that fabric? i love it!
Of course! It's from Fiber Mood and I purchased it on Fabric Godmother: www.fabricgodmother.co.uk/strokes-cotton-poplin-blush/
Can you share what type of fabric is best for shirring?
Cotton poplin, rayon, crepe - light to medium weight fabrics work best ☺️
This is just cotton (poplin), right? Curious, because I want to try my hand at this
Yes, this was cotton poplin :) Works like a charm for this type of dress.
