How to fix a Wooden Canoe Paddle

In this short video I demonstrate how to fix the blade of a wooden canoe paddle using West System epoxy.

Love your work. Do you have suggestions for epoxying label graphic without it showing up as paper. It looks good on your paddle.

I've always used transparent stickers and applied them after the epoxy or varnish. The label on the paddle is from the original manufacturer - Bending Branches

Thanks Jason, can we just do the sanding and varnishing to refresh a paddle for this season or is there something better to do to take care of our paddles.. ? Thanks.

In most cases you can do a light sand and varnish but you might want to check with the manufacturer to see if they have any recommendations. But don't forget, some of those battle scars look pretty cool.
