    One of the best breaks-downs of what UX research is and how it contributes to many levels of problem solving.

      how? I can barley understand what she is saying because she is so monotone. there might be alot of information there, but because the pace of her talking isn't great. I would have to have a transcript to even begin to understand what she's talking about.

    so what tools do you use? Come on, everyone interested in the job knows what quantitative and qualitative research is.. But how do you communicate your findings? Do you visualize your data? Do you use programming languages like R to get your data insights?

      @careerfoundry  4 роки тому +5

      Hey! Some of the answers to your questions are mentioned in this tutorial: careerfoundry.com/en/tutorials/ux-research-for-beginners/how-to-analyze-your-ux-research-findings/ When it comes to visualising data, we cover this topic in our Intro to Data Analytics course, in case you’re interested: careerfoundry.com/en/courses/intro-to-data-analytics/

    Is this true that you ALWAYS use a mix of quant and qual in UX research like she said in this video? I have a market research background trying to learn more about UX research, and that is definitely not always the case for market research. Typically won’t just do qual. Usually a mix of quant first then qual or just entirely quant studies.

    but how do we collect the data from users? we visualize them? or approach users directly? if it's the later then how do we do that? For startups it's a common issue

    • @careerfoundry
      @careerfoundry  3 роки тому +2

      Hi there! User research is all about collecting data from people who actually do (or would use) your product! As far as where to find users, you can recruit through your actual user base (chances are that they also know some people who would use your product) or through another company.
      Here's an article about user research tools (many of these platforms also have the option to do the recruiting for you): careerfoundry.com/en/blog/ux-design/remote-user-research-tools/
      Granted, that can be pricey and if you don't have the budget, you can do some DIY recruiting. Here's a great article about that: medium.com/mixed-methods/diy-recruiting-how-to-find-participants-for-your-research-6f9a05dd1a33

    Still did not understand from your video, what to do before design? Where to start? Any online platform for these research. They are just words & definition. Qualitative & Quantitative and definition. How do you work in real life and with real tools?

      Hi Lokesh, we have a range of videos on these topics that you mention. We'd recommend checking out this video: ua-cam.com/video/ORZlHuD22UQ/v-deo.html and we also have a range of recorded live events on demand on our UA-cam channel, so for user research (qualitative and quantitative) check out: ua-cam.com/video/Q_m1-3mCyiI/v-deo.html & ua-cam.com/video/bAARmsv1tms/v-deo.html Hope these help?

    qualitative data is very fixed, once you know root of why they do what they do, it's that fixed reason. Saying it is open ended is misleading, probably an impression coming from open-ended questions. The answers are not open, though. And probably infused with a bias that subjectiveness is less than real.

    Have you done ux research on your videos with ux students and professionals? It might be worth considering as these videos are very scripted and as a result quite lifeless....
