I’m on the waiting list at my local Boutique for this green one, but after seeing it on these videos I’m not so sure anymore. Sure, the black Seamaster is cool as well, but I really want a green watch and I’m not permanent outside or in super sunny/bright lighting conditions. Besides that, I miss the small and discrete red accents on the dial and seconds hand. Edit: my local Boutique told me end of June/beginning July.
Thanks for commenting :) Tough choice I agree with you. The red tip of the seconds marker and the red seamaster writings are really iconic just like the HE escape valve… white, green and mettallic do not have them. May I suggest? Go for the green one! Why? Everyone will lose money on all other colours and the green one you could sell at least for the same price as you purchased it for… But on the other hand who says tou can’t own 2 watches with 2 different colours? Follow tour Hearth! Good Luck with the Boutique experience they are truly amazing!
@@frankv7068 Good point, but I’m not a big fan of rubber straps. Let’s see when I get it, things are always different when you see them in real life with your own eyes, and I trust the good taste of Omega when they designed this watch. 👍🏻

Came back to this video after I had a closer look at the green SMP in my local Omega Boutique yesterday. I went there to check the water resistance of my PO Chrono and had to do something in the meantime so I asked them for then green SMP. I was lucky that they had one in the store because the guy who ordered it ditched it for another watch. My initial goal was a more dressy watch like one from the De Ville line but now I am a bit drawn towards the SMP. Nevertheless I did not buy it. At least not yesterday. Maybe next year.
Hi Harry, I was walking down the main street and saw a green SMP in the Glassvitrin too, just couple of days ago. It is a beauty, but set again light is a biach, most of the time it is black, and because of that I really start to love the colour black at SMPs :) PO Chrono you have the orange one maybe? Since you talked about dressy watch - make sure you check out the chinese Omega website there is already available the new deville collection, they did a good job looks modern and not too much classy and the price tags will be also not so hefty ;) (this hint I have gotten from boutique) Get the Green one! Just look at chrono24 - seriously which Omega gains value? (Apart from Snoopy) … and the green gained value :) Take care and was really nice to hear from you!
@@Watchmeifyoucan Yes, I have the orange one. When the sales woman saw it on my wrist she immediately said that I need something new and the green SMP would be a perfect fit. ;) I didn't check out the chinese Omega homepage but it surprises me that they should be cheaper than here. When I lived in Shanghai I planned to buy a JLC and had a first look at it in the JLC Boutique but it was way more expensive than here in Germany, something around 15%. I made the same experience with clothings and other items. In their boutique in Hong Kong they offered me a good discount just after asking for the price. Perhaps I thought this offer was too good to be true so I ended up buying the Reverso in Germany. I always love the buying experience at an AD or the brand boutique. But this time I could resist the sales woman's attempt to sell it to me, although she tried her best. But I also like to get myself prepared before such a purchase, having that joy in advance. Let's see when I am going to pick it up.
@@Harry-tb8yo orange PO perfect choice! I really love orange that is why I love the new deep sea in orange… I feel you brother when it comes to AD experience, I really love Omega Boutique Zürich, soo friendly staff and excellent customer service, always happy to see them. Currently I am working on a Rolex No date version, hopefully it will become a reality, cause that would be cool, having so many james bond watches the no date would perfectly fit in the collection :) JLC is a true classic, I just havent befriended myself with the hefty price tag of the reverso in my humble opinion it is not worth that much than rather an IWC Portugieser in Green :)
@@Watchmeifyoucan I think in most if not all the Omega boutiques they are very nice and polite. I bought my PO chrono at the Omega Boutique Canton Road in Hong Kong and it was as pleasant as I hoped it would be. Also here in Hamburg it is always a very relaxed atmosphere and they have a good sense of humor. I bought my first luxury watch, the SMP 300, in that boutique. I never have been in such a high class hop before and was concerned that it might be a bit stiff. The stuff must have realized that and made it a really relaxed and nice experience for me, including a galsss of champagne to celebrate my first "real" watch. Regarding the JLC I have to say that it is a Reverso Squadra Hometime and back in 2009 it was more or less an entry level JLC. In hindsight it was the right time to buy it. Just one or two years later its price increased by a lot. But it definitely is not a completely stripped down watch with just a JLC brand logo on it. Given that it has a crystal case back and such an easy to use GMT function it is a lot of watch for the money. And I find it quite versatile. It is a perfect match for a casual outfit as well as it makes a good pairing when I wear a suit. If I consider my blue Bond SMP a dressy sports watch the JLC from my point of view is a sporty dress watch.
I never so a Boutique handing out discounts, however some ADs do. The trend is getting less common as Omega is probably trying to stop that. I would say a 10% or 20% discount could be possible from an AD but I do not believe those are meant for first buyers… but I could be wrong.
Depends on the light conditions - I have many videos about the green one check them out! I actually love that indoors it looks black and only reveals the beautiful green outdoors. Have a nice day!
I would not say entry level for that is Hamilton for example out there with great field, aviation and dive watches, but yes I highly recommend Omega! You said it yourself “luxury”, there is nothing rational in luxury, hence price is irrelevant, is it worth it? Probably not it will lose value in the long run… like any other watches… just buy it if you love it :)
Bluesy the best choice the never getting old classic … ;) White Dial is also my choice you can see my video about it… I am a sucker for white and green… blue nowadays not soo much… Thanks for commenting… ;)
