Easily the best review on this chair. I purchased my Titan last month but could have used a review like this. A friend of mine is currently on the fence. One of his concerns was...'Can I cross my legs on this chair?" When you did that I started laughing because no other reviewer has performed that test on this chair. Very good review, keep up the good content.
If you find this chair uncomfortable with the two pillows attached (between 5'4 and 5'10) it's because your posture sucks from your previous chair. I neglected using them for half a year and found myself in a chiropractors office for a few weeks. Two months of forcing myself to use these posture pillows and I feel amazing. I walk differently, stand differently, sit differently, and am getting tired two hours later than I used to. Use these pillows as guides, they'll save you a boat load of pain. Soft pillows aren't uncomfortable, the hard knotted blocks of muscle in your back are.

Have been using my Omega for some time now and I absolutely love it. One thing buyers should beware of is the fact that they will not truly love this chair until it has been broken in. The cold foam will hurt your bottom after a few hours of sitting in it right after you set it up. From personal experience I did not really get full enjoyment from this chair until I had sat in it for about 10-12hrs. That is honestly the only down side, but it's honestly a very big plus because this foam will last you much longer than any other gaming chair out there. The build quality was very impressive down to the screws to hold this chair together. And the lack of noise on tile which I have in my room is perfect! With gaming chairs you definitely get what you pay for and this chair is far better than any DX racer I've owned and they are priced pretty similar with secret lab being a bit more expensive, but the wider back surface area and the less aggressive wings make it feel much better than the formula series DX racers. Secret lab is fairly new to the States, but I'm again very glad I picked this chair. 9.5/10 love it. Just a tiny bit more leg width would've been nice to have.
@@TheZoog15 most definitely! After the 'break in' period this chair has seriously become my favorite chair I have owned. I have always been into the DX racer chairs but after using the Omega I am hooked on Secret Lab as a company. The quality is amazing and after sitting in the chair for several hours it always looks brand new going back to it's original shape without hurting your bum. Side note on the comfort: I always laughed at the thought of people sleeping in their chairs, but after reclining the chair about five notches back from the max up right position (no where near all the way back) while listening to music, I seriously almost fell asleep in it! It's that comfy and with the amazing lumbar and head pillow, it's no contest way softer and more comfy than any support pillows I've used that we're bought separate.
Hm, this review may be old, but it’s like the best review on this chair no matter what. You didn’t just feature the chair, you also helped people figure out which chair was right for them. Which in fact is a huge part of something like this. You expressed everything clearly and even had some jokes along the way as well, which adds a nice touch to your videos. Just got one of these delivered, absolutely great chair, I suffer from really bad lower back pain, and this chair gets me through those long gaming sessions, your video made my final decision on whether or not to bite the bullet, i game facing upright, and then when I'm watching movies or tv, I tilt it back. I cannot fault it whatsoever

I bought one of these when I started to become successful as a programmer, with intent to use it as an all-day office chair. It was really exciting and great at first, but after about a year, the novelty wore off and it was getting uncomfortable for all-day sitting. I ended up selling it on craigslist and buying a steelcase leap instead. Looks less cool, but way more comfort. (the leap actually costs about $2000)

young link I believe it’ll fit you just right! Do note there will most probably be a adjusting/getting used-to period as its aim is to really fix your posture. Also, the newer 2020 models are much better where they fixed several small issues such as the mechanism button to shift the armrest. in older models they protrude, causing discomfort at times and other small fixes which really elevates the whole experience!

Good video. Never watched your stuff before. You give a good rundown of the chair, without adding unnecessary information, keeping to the important points.
I own the Titan. It is expensive AF and for me (with back pains) its worth every penny. Im 6'1" 202lbs and in descent shape. So your mileage may vary and there are great, more affordable alternatives. But overall im incredibly happy with the $500 Batman chair :-)
I've had my Omega for a couple years now. It's been comfortable and pretty decent quality. However, the backrest has been compromised. The metal piece where the bolts screw in completely snapped in half. Luckily it's still under warranty and Secret Lab is sending me a new backrest. Not sure if I just had some bad luck or what but I digress. I just ordered the Titan just because it's bigger but I am not a big guy by any means, 6'1" around 190lbs. Hopefully the new rest for the Omega holds up better and I'm still excited for the Titan.
Great review, anyway what do you think about another design like DXRacer? Need help and I'm still deciding whether to buy that series or this SecretLab one.

Hello, I purchased SecretLab Omega chair in May 2018. I randomly came across your review which is right on with my opinion, great video, thou my leather has never creased and still looks like new. So far I am very pleased with the comfort and sharp looks of my chair (Ash) and would recommend it to anyone. I am 5'7 , 195 lbs.... perfect fit, but don't think you're going to spread your legs wide due to the seats side fins.
Man this is the best rewiew i have ever seen in my life not only in this chair but in general man you are so professional and you covered argoments that no one talks about like the Omega/titan chair or the "can i cross my legs?" your the best rewirwer ever man seriously.
Great production, informative and helpful review. Only improvement I could suggest if you're open to it, is less hand movements at unnecessary moments. There was one point you were talking about a con, but your hand was doing the 👌 symbol. Other than that, keep it up and I can see you getting bigger. Good luck man!
haha I LOVED your comment!! I actually owned that alarm clock before, I ended up returning them because I didn't find it too useful. Instead I use smart lights (LIFX, Phillips Hue) and tell them to turn on at a certain time and it has a MUCH better effect because it lights up your whole room with whatever light you want in the morning! Hope that helped :)
Let's admit no one wants to buy a chair that costs 500 that isn't the best and the same goes for 300. What I can say about the secretlab is the build quality is top notch, the chairs are basically tanks and with that said it comes at a price. While the overall feel and quality is to be expected at such a high price the comfort is lacking but to be honest I do not know what is the best for comfort. There are chairs like the mavix brand that may actually be far superior for ergonomics but I'd try the Lf gaming Hawk priced at 400. People say that the lumbar support on secretlabs and head rest are really good but let me tell you I rarely use the lunbar support but also when getting a bucket seat style racing chair memory foam is a must.
I like the way you did your review. Seems like you've been doing alot of research as you included some very nitpicky stuff that I appreciated in other reviews ;) Just got my Secret Lab Titan chair today - and I'm very pleased with it so far! I'm 6.3 so the Omega would probably be to small for me.

I have this chair and the only thing I don’t like is the arm rest isn’t soft enough. After a while the chair looses its softness and it gets hard. I wish they made separate arm rest so I can upgrade them

My current chair is just like the one you showed @11:30 but its the Frabric one, no leather here (im a sweaty gamer, even tho im 5'11 70-72kg). And i gotta admit it is the best chair i've owned in a while. I have it since summer 2016 and it still feel like a new chair and i do sit on it for a good 6 to 10 hours a day. This is the only reason i have a hard time changing my chair, otherwise i would've taken this 2nd gen Omega because damm it looks great and it feels like it is as comfy as this IKEA one. GREAT REVIEW though.

So I've had my secret lab omega for a while and now Im starting to get into sim racing. I have to press pedals hard while racing and with the wheels I keep moving back. I wanted to get flat casters so I would stop moving around while using the pedals. I got a set on Amazon and it didn't fit :/ the middle base part touched the ground before the casters. It pains me to see no option from secret lab to have the chair flat. It's a "gaming chair" but originally it's a racing bucket seat. They should have some sort of support for people trying to use this chair for racing in games. The only options I have are to put something underneath the casters, get some custom made, get the ugly tall ones, or make some myself. Ill probably end up getting the tall ugly ones 🤦♂️
@@MikeWat How did you angle the armrests inwards or outwards? I'm not seeing a button that does it and I tried with just brute force and it doesn't want to move. Other than that, it feels really nice. Definitely glad I bought the Omega.
I just twist it with force, they're 4-Directional arm rests and pretty sturdy so don't worry about it breaking on you xD It would take A LOT of force to break it :) Glad you are enjoying the omega, WELCOME TO THE CLUB!!! :)

I’ve had the Omega for over a year now, great chair!:) I use this chair quite heavily, and to be honest it looks as new as the day I bought it (besides my butt indentations on the seat) 😂 I am 6’ tall, and the chair fits me quite well! My chair does not have any kind of creases like the one you reviewed does, so its probably just how yours was manufactured or shipped. Great review, hope this helps!

Hello, I purchased SecretLab Omega chair in May 2018. I randomly came across your review which is right on with my opinion, great video, thou my leather has never creased and still looks like new. So far I am very pleased with the comfort and sharp looks of my chair (Ash) and would recommend it to anyone. I am 5'7 , 195 lbs.... perfect fit, but don't think you're going to spread your legs wide due to the seats side fins.

haha I LOVED your comment!! I actually owned that alarm clock before, I ended up returning them because I didn't find it too useful. Instead I use smart lights (LIFX, Phillips Hue) and tell them to turn on at a certain time and it has a MUCH better effect because it lights up your whole room with whatever light you want in the morning! Hope that helped :)
Let's admit no one wants to buy a chair that costs 500 that isn't the best and the same goes for 300. What I can say about the secretlab is the build quality is top notch, the chairs are basically tanks and with that said it comes at a price. While the overall feel and quality is to be expected at such a high price the comfort is lacking but to be honest I do not know what is the best for comfort. There are chairs like the mavix brand that may actually be far superior for ergonomics but I'd try the Lf gaming Hawk priced at 400. People say that the lumbar support on secretlabs and head rest are really good but let me tell you I rarely use the lunbar support but also when getting a bucket seat style racing chair memory foam is a must.
I like the way you did your review. Seems like you've been doing alot of research as you included some very nitpicky stuff that I appreciated in other reviews ;)
Just got my Secret Lab Titan chair today - and I'm very pleased with it so far! I'm 6.3 so the Omega would probably be to small for me.

Super helpful video, Mike! I'm currently deliberating between an Omega and a Titan, and getting a sense for the size of the Omega (and the aesthetic of the chairs) was great!
Question: what is that portable lap surface you were using for your keyboard in a few clips? And does your mouse fit on there too?

I have this chair and the only thing I don’t like is the arm rest isn’t soft enough. After a while the chair looses its softness and it gets hard. I wish they made separate arm rest so I can upgrade them
You can buy the same armrest and replace it or you can just buy arm rest covers!

I dunno why but when I first started this video, I could tell you are one of them asians from Vancouver BC area.... Maybe its the hairstyle, but those guys just have something in common that gives off the same vibe.
Love this chair....the only downside is the setup takes some time ...and wish the lumbar support pillow was slightly bigger to offer more support

My current chair is just like the one you showed @11:30 but its the Frabric one, no leather here (im a sweaty gamer, even tho im 5'11 70-72kg). And i gotta admit it is the best chair i've owned in a while. I have it since summer 2016 and it still feel like a new chair and i do sit on it for a good 6 to 10 hours a day. This is the only reason i have a hard time changing my chair, otherwise i would've taken this 2nd gen Omega because damm it looks great and it feels like it is as comfy as this IKEA one. GREAT REVIEW though.

So I've had my secret lab omega for a while and now Im starting to get into sim racing. I have to press pedals hard while racing and with the wheels I keep moving back. I wanted to get flat casters so I would stop moving around while using the pedals. I got a set on Amazon and it didn't fit :/ the middle base part touched the ground before the casters. It pains me to see no option from secret lab to have the chair flat. It's a "gaming chair" but originally it's a racing bucket seat. They should have some sort of support for people trying to use this chair for racing in games. The only options I have are to put something underneath the casters, get some custom made, get the ugly tall ones, or make some myself. Ill probably end up getting the tall ugly ones 🤦♂️

@@MikeWat How did you angle the armrests inwards or outwards? I'm not seeing a button that does it and I tried with just brute force and it doesn't want to move. Other than that, it feels really nice. Definitely glad I bought the Omega.
I just twist it with force, they're 4-Directional arm rests and pretty sturdy so don't worry about it breaking on you xD It would take A LOT of force to break it :) Glad you are enjoying the omega, WELCOME TO THE CLUB!!! :)

I’ve had the Omega for over a year now, great chair!:) I use this chair quite heavily, and to be honest it looks as new as the day I bought it (besides my butt indentations on the seat) 😂 I am 6’ tall, and the chair fits me quite well! My chair does not have any kind of creases like the one you reviewed does, so its probably just how yours was manufactured or shipped. Great review, hope this helps!
