- The Liège-Guillemins railway station looks like it belongs far in the future: a vast curving monolith of glass, steel and concrete curves extending high above the train tracks. Just as astonishing as its design is the fact that it was built while the normal train schedules continued, with no disruption.

and the great thing is, now they added coloured glass to the roof of the station which reverbs colorful shadows ! it's amazing
Is that permanent or a temporary thing?
@@JasonBoon02 found out a few weeks ago that it was temporary and would last until october 2024
I live in Liège and I'm happy to see our station being recognized for its beautiful architecture
I stood breathless before that mastery. Bravo!
As a resident from Antwerp with one of the most beautiful train stations in the world (top 5 now I guess, 1st in 2014) I will need to take me a train ticket from my home train station to my French speaking countrymen and traverse from the past to the future....didn't even know Liège had such a beautiful train station...thanks for the clip!
Wow. I'm impressed and speechless. Magnificent.
just totally amazing. Bravo!
I was go to The Liège Guillemins train station many times and i take the train in this place a few times, is less of noise and i like it.
One thing is i going passing the train rail near the train station to go for pp to avoid getting seen until someone tell me to get out of the train rail as i finish and a train passing after I got off the train tracks and the noise of the train is too low when it far away from me but getting louder when came close to the place i standing, this make me scared and I would not to do that again
Whenever I pass the name Belgium, I could remember the Eban. Emayel port of the ww2 historical. Place, but now this great news catched my mind, yes it is amazing, thank you
To GLAZE the entire roof, Noice 😉😎
photo voltaic panels?
Maybe some solar panels on the roof (instead of plain glass) could have been nicer or at least a bit more sustainable :-)

It's pronounced Liège Gymain (written guillemins)
