The course not only provides an organizing system for your landing pages but also helps guide the user through each stage of designing them. The video is engaging and fun which makes it easy to watch over again if needed!
Interesting how increasing the number of steps increased conversions by 32%. Its wild really. But it just goes to show how powerful psychological elements impact marketing conversion rates. Thank you Flint and the team at MECLABS for continuing to help drive home the importance of psychology on conversions. Excellent session. "Best practices are often pooled ignorance" and "The blind leading the blind" are two of my favorite Flint soundbites. I reference them all the time, in fact, just yesterday when meeting with a client.
I agree Robert... Excellent session solutions ... As a copy geek, love the paraphrased quote: Don't fear long copy... by paying close attention ~ Use just enough ~ and not one letter, syllable, word more, than enough ~ Through verbal and visual elements, that are as clear as fine crystal... So the prospect sees the path to success and transformation... Their WHY being answered in your Why, and that in combining the TWO WHY's it becomes the best choice over all other choices... Best practices are often pooled ignorance" and "The blind leading the blind" are two of my favorite Flint soundbites.
Robert, you have been a key person in much of this thinking. We may turn to get your insights as we think about SEO impacts. I am grateful for the encouragement.
If they don't understand they can't believe." I agree with your statement. We have to make sure everything is understandable and easy. This is a great video on creating a high converting landing page. Thank you!
"People don't buy from websites; people buy from people" I love this statement! This is a great video on creating a high converting landing page. Thank you!
I liked learning about how to improve your website wireframes. It's something I've struggled with understanding, but you're making it so much easier to get.
I am already of big fan of this series by Flint McGlaughlin. Anybody can put together a web page but putting together a webpage that maximizes market conversion rates is an entirely different story. This excellent vid makes very salient points and offers excellent techniques that emphasize website wireframes.
"On the Internet, best practices are often just pooled ignorance"... I've totally been guilty of copycatting and this totally sheds some light on why it didn't work, lol. Great video on marketing conversion rates - thank you for sharing your wisdom!
Loved your examples, this was a very engaging lesson about Website wireframes! You excel at marketing conversion rates, and I am so pleased to have come across your page Flint!
Sweet. Great way for me to start the week today! I have a few marketing assignments to complete, and need to implement this Approach. I love the product sales flow document from Daniel, used that yesterday "-)

"Do not design a web page; design a cognitive progression" and "Stop copying external, the suface. Instead think internals, conclusion, yeses" These two insights are key when we desging our website wireframes.
I find your perspective on improving website wireframes inspiring! Although the answers may sometimes be in our faces, it's great to have someone guide you towards that solution, and you do a great job in that regard.
I appreciate the encouragement. It’s challenging to communicate some of these essential concepts. Aristotle saw the value of metaphor. I am determined to find more powerful ways to help my students learn and succeed.
awesome video on explaining the concepts of website wireframes! really like the example you shared and how you explained the various psychological considerations was super clear, thanks a lot!
Wireframing can help a trusted website by displaying more valuable content and holding the customers attention as opposed to filling up a page with redundent material and risking losing the cx's attention and interest.
Website wireframes were a term I knew, but didn't know much info on. This really gave the info I needed and hopefully this helps my marketing knowledge!!
Flint, do these micro-yes steps apply on every single page? Or should it be viewed as a multi-page approach? For example, in eCommerce we've found that when we've experimented by trying to communicate more on the homepage (for example), and in doing so moving the product images and navigation further down the page, the CR has dropped and bounce rate increased. We've also tried moving the messaging further down the page, but then discover that a lot of people never even scroll that far to see the message. Would you approach this sequence across the journey, rather than just one page? I.E. focus more on using the category page/product page to address the rest of the micro yeses? Thanks for all the awesome videos!
Adrian, thank you for the detailed question. I would have responded sooner but I had a family emergency. In general, the 8 micro-yeses must be achieved in the mind. But, in some cases they are already achieved from the previous journey. And you only need to achieve those which are missing. So the answer to your question is yes and no. But, as long as they have achieved those micro-yeses for the specific macro-yes you are targeting, then you can maximize success. This will get clearer in the upcoming classes.
@@FlintNotes Thanks for taking the time to respond, Flint. I hope everything with the family is okay! That's what we'd anticipated - that the micro-yeses happen in the mind, so its dependent on the context from which the audience arrives. I suppose its also a matter of optimizing the journey for the context in which the audience comes (e.g. arriving from high-intent search, or cold ads, or general research) and finding the right balance on the pages. Thanks again for all your work sharing these insights with us, Flint. Truly appreciated!
Don't be afraid of long copy be afraid of insufficient clarity! It's amazing how much confusion we can add to our pages by trying to simplify and over explain 😂😂
I am a bit surprised to see the conversion rates increased by 32% for just increasing the number of steps. Of course, we should be afraid of having no clarity on the website. If we include all the available information that clarifies almost every bit of the topic, marketing conversion rates will likely increase by a tremendous rate.
Many gold nuggets found in this one. Almost every sentence was something worth taking a note of.
The course not only provides an organizing system for your landing pages but also helps guide the user through each stage of designing them. The video is engaging and fun which makes it easy to watch over again if needed!
