  • Cleaning out my supply of labels to make room for new projects. Excuse the air conditioner in the background.. These hats require a lot of prep work, especially from this style of box, but look pretty good when they're done. 2 ply posterboard for crown and bottom brim, 1 ply for the top brim. 4 24 pack bottle boxes, stripped label from cardboard.

I have included SVG cut files in the Custom SVG folder that you can load into Cricut design space and create additional templates dedicated to the top, side and front/back of the crown. My Cricut is an Explorer 3 and I used thin acrylic sheets from Hobby Lobby to cut mine using a deep cut blade, 3 passes and about 300 pressure. The Read me folder has the specific dimensions of each template so you can scale them properly in design space. They are labeled Crown front, Custom side and Custom top. These templates are simply a breakdown of the crown template into sections. If you don't have a die cutting machine, you can simply load the SVG files into a program like Adobe Illustrator or a free program called Inkscape and print them out onto card stock or copy paper from there with the correct measurements from the read me files and use them to trace and cut labels to be glued to your template that was drawn onto the posterboard.

@@patriciabrown6045I have cut the labels directly from the machine, but struggled with exact placement, that's why I had custom steel rule die stamps made up from LW Leathers and now I can just stamp them out consistently.
