Kaliwa Dam Project or the New Centennial Water Supply Project is a new water source to be constructed to meet the increasing demand of the people of Metro Manila, Rizal and Quezon (17.46M people o 3.49M household) by constructing another dam and to reduce total dependence on the Angat Dam.
This “climate resilient” project is envisioned to help Angat Dam, based on the comprehensive studies conducted by Word Bank and JICA.
This is also aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) that is to have access to clean water supply. While it is true there are other sources of water, the cost of treatment is so high. This is already published in books - Kaliwa, Kanan and Agos rivers can help us achieve water security.

sobrang saya nyo sa project na ito pero di manlang ninyo ramdam ung mga tribes na madidisplace sa lugar na yan. they are indigenous people but you kept on being proud on it. Many of them were threatened just to leave the place. I hope you make up your mind, don't be stupid

Mukhang di naman lulubog yang area na yan. Aalisin yung mga nakatira dyan dahil siguro part yan ng malawak na watershed ng kaliwa dam. Mahalaga ang watershed dahil dito magmumula yung mga tubig na maiipon sa kaliwa dam. Mukhang ang daloy ng tubig dyan ay patungong Quezon kaya yung dam ay nasa Quezon. Then thru tunnel yung tubig naman mula kaliwa dadalhin sa Teresa Rizal para duon siguro iprocess, magkakaroon ng parang water processing plant na kagaya ng nawasa sa may Katipunan or C5. Or mula dyan yung tubig ay dadalhin naman sa nawasa ara duon iprocess.
