In boat building-as I have learned on Sampson Boat Co‘s and Acorn to Arabella’s videos-they call making the lines flow smoothly “fairing the curves”, as in “a fair curve” (and like “a fair maiden”, I think). I like that term.
Is there going to be a follow up vidio with the finished guitar being played I'll have to watch this again it was so far from the norm on construction . It is a very beautiful instrument thank you for making it
Just a tip. The bubbles in the veneer are coming from too much glue I think. I had exactly the same with a masur birch veneer job on a desktop. From the moment that I used less glue I didn't had the problem anymore. figured veneer can be very sensitive at that point. Great video.
Bravo !!
it's mainly ergonomic. It's a very stiff end reflective back, similar to my hempstone bodies. It was initially to have a sound comparison to my regular hempstone bodies. And no braces needed either.
plywood guitar. I wonder how it sounds. Is that a linseed oil you're using in the end of the video? Wood texture looks great. Is that curly birch veneer?
Any BODY is (and got to be) 3D. Any 2D is a geometric image/picture (triangle, square, circle...); 3D is a body/object (a cube, ball, cylinder, barrel...)
@@cannaguitars4593 4D. 3 geometric dimensions plus the sound dimension:-). Very nice looking guitar body, indeed. You should publish additional video that would present us the finished product (if it has been finished) - I'm sure people would be interested in the quality of the sound of this beautiful guitar.
@@DrAgan_tortojed alright, well next time it will be in 4D (with sound) :-D. Also I made a comparison video with it against one of my regular guitars.

Fascinating.Amazingly beautiful. The sound has a surprisingly loud projection and well balanced. Please wear a mask.Thank you kindly to share.
You need a relief plat-ten to allow for more even airflow when drawing down your vacuum.
Wow, was für eine unendliche Handarbeit. Tolles Ergebnis. Respekt !
merci :-)

yeah, that's nice :-) I might use that
Thanks for sharing!
I've been pondering how to do this for a friends acoustic bass guitar, and this is quite helpful.
I always wonder if/ how many might try something similar. Good to know I could help! Cheers
looks fantastic!

I made a video comparing this one to one of my hempstone guitars
Your speak English very well. Very cool and unique instrument!
especially for a german right? 😉
Wow just wow, a magnificent piece of art...
Thanks man!
aw man! was looking forward to hearing it, will you make a video of it being played?
I already have: ua-cam.com/video/J-MmKOhWpTs/v-deo.html
Where can we see and hear the finnished guitar
Beautiful
What a stunning guitar body - bravo!!!
OMG.
I WANT IT!
What is the bag of mixing hemp you use? I would love to make a drum kit from this, exactly what I been looking for.
Güzel işçilik, tebrikler...🎸🎶👏

thanks, I think that's one of the reasons. I think it's better to not use wood-based glue at all to stop it curling so much.
@@cannaguitars4593 Ok. Yes, interesting.what type of glue are you going to use next time ?
@@lignumdrums I don't know if there is a next time, but I think I would go with 90min epoxy and a stronger pump.
Check out Baumgartner Fine Art Restoration UA-cam page.
He’s the vacuum bag master. He also has a vacuum table, an interesting thing
Thanks! I'll check it out. I would need a better setup for sure If I would do these more often.

Could you explain the small hand tool you made to route the channel for the binding. It's very intriguing.
It's called a "gremil". You can buy a ready made one of built them yourself. It's a pretty simple tool.
call me naive, but what are the acoustic advantages of such a markedly sculpted back? Amazing work. seems like bracing will be difficult.

I made a video comparison to my regular hempstone guitars. And yes, boiled linseed oil, later some french polish. It's birdseye maple veneer.
For strength and durability this is the best way to go. Won’t ever get side cracks. Very rigid. The only place I don’t like plywood is for the top.
@@TheVectorious strength and durability yes. But it is best for building materials and not good for accoustics
Can you write down the materials you use?
Birdseye maple veneer, maple, walnut(binding), Titebond, hope that helps :-)
Didn't you use cannabis?
@@lifegood1308 not on this one; this is an experiment to use only wood and to have an comparison to the hemp bodies
If you could give that glue some better viscosity it would make your life a lot easyer
yeah, the whole laminating step was very suboptimal but it worked in the end. If I build more of these, I will use a different glue...
@@cannaguitars4593 Yes, it worked out great, it's a beauty
That's a lot of work, moreso than ordinary, buy at least you get the body you want .
But good job
I think you are not prepared
