Hey thanks for uploading this! Used this video to disassemble my older 1995 550b peak 1, full of gunk and wont hold pressure. all the parts are identical so i disassembled it the way you did. Now it fires up like a rocket!
Thank you SO MUCH for sharing this! Fun little project today and my 550B is up and running like brand new now after disassemble, clean and reassemble. Very helpful, cheers!
Sweet 🌞Loved seeing this !!! the pawn shop i do business with has one of these !! Looks nice. They want 57 dollars for it but have always bargained with them plus im probably going to pick up something else . Great Video.. thank you 🌞
Excellent video! I am just about to take mine apart after a camping trip. Just thought I would see if there are any vids on youtube first...and came across yours! This will save me some time! Thanks and good job!!!
Thanks for yr video. The oring sizes would be some of AS568A 005 006 007 009 but I'm not sure about, if you know well it's glad to hear for everyone else who has the same one 550b
It is a great video. However still couldn't fix mine. It was sitting for several years with kerosine in it (forgot...) I replaced o-rings,, cleaned washed inside out. Occasionally some fuel comes, but it stops and flame out. Sometimes it does overspill, close the tap, let the generator heat up, but still no luck. Any idea?
I bought that 550B model from NATO army surplus. Made in 6/99. Good as new. Army box is small and watertight. This stove pot stands edges was sharp. With sandpaper I rounded them. Same thing wit heat plate. That center screw was loose. In filler is tube which prevent to get fuel out by pouriring. Is it for safety?
The check valves are installed extremely tight. Do not ever try to remove the check valve unless you have a special check valve tool to do so. An ill-fitting screwdriver will just hack it up and strip it possibly keeping the check valve tool from working. Then what are you going to do? Besides, the check valves very rarely go bad. If you have one sticking try some carb and choke cleaner from the auto parts store first.
Hello I need help somebody! I'm looking to buy a single burner Coleman stove and I was wondering basically what is the difference and which one's the best? I see there's the exponent, the Coleman 400a and the Coleman 400 and then the Coleman 1576 green stones made in Canada. Which one is the best one does anybody have a pinion? I do like the idea that the 400 and the 400a has the simmer knob or the simmer lever when the 400 be does not current and the exponent seems to have plastic parts on it like around the pump and also other plastic parts so anybody please help me and let me know what the best one would be 4 overall cooking. Thank you very much. Best to all of you, Jason
Not a fan of o-rings that someday will fail leaving the stove unusable. With the older graphite packed valve stems, it is just a snugging of the valve stem nut and you are back in business making coffee.
HAY! there's some thing missing from this picture hear!!!!!!!! you say you removed the fuel but the last vid was the unboxing and the tank was dry with no fuel smell YOUR WORDS IF NOT VERBATUN CLOSE so where is the fuel up and burn test that I assume would have gone with said fuel up ??????????? some thing is rotten in Denmark lol lol

Do you know where I can buy a valve assembly for this 550B? my stove, the internal rod that has the head with the hole is broken. Thank you.
Nice stove but if you can't get the high tech o rings it's useless which would happen if the supply lines go down.
Thanks..got the info I needed!!🙂
