That was a most relaxing creek. The kind I would enjoy setting my hammock next to after an active day on the water. I like to call that kind of bite “Barrel Conditions”. Named after the “shooting fish in a barrel” saying. Thanks for the entertainment Tristan.
Gosh, I really, really always enjoys these. Just the fact of being West Slope or surrounding territory (by proxy) brightens my day. The fishing is the icing! Thx so much.
What a beautiful setting for a fun day of fishing!! Great video, my friend! I really love the Wyoming area...except when trying to drive some passes during winter. lol
It looks like snow is still in the shadows on the north slopes of those peaks. Perfect clarity of water. Pocket water, and loose-sediment to keep things from getting algaed-over. Picture-perfect blue sky, reflected betwwen boulders, during the selfie outro. Couldn't ask for more.
When I was fishing in Iceland a couple of years ago, the wind was an impossible 35mph. I could not land the line where it should go. My guide said that he was used to wind that heavy, so I let him make the casts, and I took the rod from him and fished the cast in. I couldn't believe how accurately he could cast in a very stiff wind. I caught several arctic char in the 12-16 inch range. I told the guide that if I were at home, I would have packed it in.
That was a little piece of paradise!! things like it should be if we where better stewards of the Earth ! You are leaving large! Enjoyed it very much 🎣
What a stunning spot to be, much less get to fish. The water is springcreek clear. I got to take my first Tenkara out yesterday for my first go at Tenkara. Fishing a small lake from the shore I landed 3 really heavy chinquapin bream...what a fight. I am not sure my rod will be able to handle some of our larger chinquapins or crappie. They can run 3-4 pounds with 1 1/2 lbs. common. I might have to up the rod a bit.
I know you like the Wind River area so I suspected north of there. And close to home. I wasn't sure as I thought the mountains would be more...peaked?. I agree, sweet creek quiet Solitude really make the fishing great! Thanks, Tristan!
I am very envious, this stream looks like a gem. I do have one question though, Why are you always catching juvenile trout? I am from New Zealand and I cannot remember the last time I caught a fish that small or one with parr markings. On the other hand; I am pleased with a solitary fish every two outings, which measures pounds per fish not fish per pound.
Thanks Tristan! Every once in awhile the planets align (habitat, conditions, equipment, etc.) and it all seems so easy. (BTW, my name is Gary and I have been known to act weird.) 😜
I've done well on small lakes and some larger ones too. Usually takes some effort and learning what conditions they like and honestly mostly sight fishing. But dang sight fishing is fun! When I am on lakes I normally need to cast further and use the Dragontail Hellbender and 20' ish leader.
The beauty of that stream is nothing short of breathtaking. Thank you for bringing it to us!
It really is. Just a wonderful place to fish. Thanks Michael!
I want that creek in my backyard. Beautiful and peaceful!

Barrel conditions is a great way of describing it! Thanks Jeffrey.
#1 Perfect way to start my Saturday!! Thanks for sharing!! Cheers!!
Thanks for watching!

Another awesome video well done
Beautiful creek Tristan, you should take me there! Loving both of your channels!
Take care,
Steve
Keep up the good videos
Will do!
Fishing in small and beautiful creeks like this place is so cool!
It's my favorite thing!
I agree with you it’s more fun then it appears
Wonderful. Thank you
Great outing, thanks Tristen for sharing. The backup creek was a gem, hard work pays off. Thanks for sharing. Did you sell all our yarn?
A gin clear stream and plenty of fish. Looks like you'll need to order some more fish arrows. Thanks for sharing.
Lol thanks for watching!
Tenkara Heaven! Another great video Tristan. Thanks, Neil

Can you do a video of what you take when you hike a few miles into the woods? Like safety equipment and that type of stuff would be interesting to me
So cool. I took my tenkara beartooth out this morning and fished a steam off the Willamette. Your video is great.
Amazing. I cannot imagine catching that many fish in that span.
“ Gary, what’s gotten into you? Why are you acting that way?!” 😂😂😂😂😂

Wet wading in heaven, can't get much better than that 🤩🇧🇷

Great fishing day 😊
love the commentary on the fish 😆
Had that Dragontail smokin

Thanks for watching, Michael!
Reminds me fishing in Nova Scotia excepting the mountains.
Could you ever take someone with you to film your form and technique? love the vids
Looks like you invented a new fishing technique...trolling a fly 😂
Gary, what’s gotten into you…..quote of the year
Gary C. Brooklyn the trout
C is for Chesterfield
When I look at these streams, it makes me realise just how polluted our streams are here in Ireland. Not being negative, just reality. Great video

You resemble that remark? 😄 Thanks for watching!
Beautiful country, lovely little stream, lots of fish and fun
You're in the Bighorns of Wyoming is my guess.
Possibly a stream over-populated?
Over the years, I've fished many small creeks like this in the ADKs for beautiful Brookies.
Watch out for bears and moose...
Lots of bears and moose in this area, too. Makes things interesting!
What part of Wyoming?
So jealous of all that super clear water.
Almost all fly-fishing here is "blind".
I have not yet caught a Brooktrout not easy to find where I’m from
Unfortunately they're all to common out in these parts, where they're an introduced species.
Bit of an odd question, but have you had any success Tenkara fishing on small lakes?

Native Brookies, to me the most beautiful fish there is.
Have you ever had anything creepy happen, in all your traveling and car camping? Weird people approching your vehicle at night ect.?
33 in less than an hour. Wow!
I was hoping it was BC.
Gary what’s gotten into you?? 😂
Gary's always acting up!
@@TenkaraAddict 🤫
I'm stealing that line.
Wyoming
Yep!
Beautiful creek in Western Wyoming(?)
Yep!
I used to date a "babblin' Brooke." Far less fish. Far less peaceful.
