Salut ! Félicitations pour cette voiture, j'admire tout le travail. J'aimerais connaître, si ça ne te dérange pas, le coût de l'échange de moteur et boîte ainsi que l'ECU ? Merci :)
Pas facile de donner un tarif comme ça vu que le prix initial du moteur et de la boite peuvent varier. J'ai déboursé 2000€ pour l'ensemble moteur / botie sans faisceau. Il faut savoir qu'un calculo moteur de Clio ne peut pas communiquer avec un calculo planche de bord de Twingo, donc il faut un électronicien pour programmer une passerelle de communication. Et honnetement, sans les copains en interne chez Renault, on n'aurait jamais pu le faire. Ensuite il y a environ 3000€ de main d'oeuvre pour le swap, et 1500€ de programmation moteur sur banc avec pose du faisceau et 4 jours de runs pour le mapping sur un banc. Ajoute un afficheur AIM + 1 boitier Sybele qui coutent 3000€ ... Au total pour faire ça correctement, avec la boite à air, la rampe de Clio Cup, moteur / boite / faisceau / supports rigides / commande de boite CNC de chez CAE Shifter, il faut compter 15 000€.

@@Niewiarygodny_Cel I used Clio 182 engine top mount and gearbox mount mixed with a Clio 197 lower gearbox mount. You need to do a bit of welding and cutting to the frame rails to clear the gearbox, and some welding for a bracket under the car for the torque mount. Driveshafts are still stock (they are the same as Clio 182 anyway).
Was just checking out the twingo133 forum and saw your update and your 2017 plans. Excited to see it happen, cammed and bodies are going to sound insane! Was just watching this video again, how the hell did you manage 16" wheels with the Megane Brembos? what is the clearance like? must be like less than a millimetre lol. Anyway please keep us updated mate, some videos on youtube would be a treat! :D

Hi, The door panels were from the Twingo R1/R2 rally kit. You still might be able to get them from Optimiz-Access, he bought most of the stock of parts for these cars after DIeppe stopped providing this service. I still have the car, it's getting some service before I get a few laps with it on the Nurburgring in June.

@@Gino3008 Il a fallu faire un peu de massage au niveau des longerons pour que la boite passe, et modifier la traverse avant pour passer la poulie inférieure de la courroie d'accessoires. Depuis je suis en supports moteur et boite rigide sur mesure, ainsi que arceau complet soudé notamment.
Ah ouais. Quand même. En fait, c'est plus une Twingo, c'est une machine de course...quelques questions...1/ combien de temps ça t'a pris de monter tout ça et est-ce qu'un professionnel a fait la modification moteur/boite ? 2/ les modifs sont plus chères que la voiture originale ?
+VinceYT2408 Niveau budget, j'avais deja fait un premier setup amortos / freins / moteur avec le 1600 d'origine donc le prix total des modifs ne reflète pas vraiment le résultat final. Mais oui la prépa coute plus cher que la voiture, ce qui est souvent le cas quand on commence a aller assez loin dans les modifs. La plupart du travail a été fait par mes soins sauf la pose du moteur vu que je n'avais pas de pont pour lever la voiture. Un ami m'a fait le mapping complet du moteur vu que c'est son job et que je voulais du sur-mesure. J'ai acheté la voiture fin 2010, donc 5 ans de roulage / prépa mais j'ai surtout roulé en 2011/2012, quasiment rien en 2013, fait le swap en 2014 et repris les roulages et la mise au point en 2015.

You need to modify the framerails a little bit, build custom engine and gearbox mounts to limit its movements, and use a standalone ECU + wiring. So, not really a "drop in and forget it" kinda swap.

There won't be any Twingo video in 2017 I'm afraid as I'll be mostly in the US this year.
The 16" barely clear the Brembos by 2mm aroudn the calipers.
