This idea seems to come purely from graduates of particular universities but it seems that this principle is established to protect the ruling class of that land. Saajid Liphams arguments are remarkably shallow. He is insuating the mere act of speaking out would lead to rebellion and hence making it prohibited. Pause on this a second.
If the texts state something permitting accounting a leader, and we know the Deen is complete, by adding that the permitted act would lead to something else and arguing that is prohibited if you take the argument to its logical conclusion - then the Deen isnt complete and it needs to be completed by Saajid and his Ilk. Same goes for "closing the Doors" - whereby additional prohibitons are made beyond the text.
Moreover, even if we accept his premise, then the entire Wahabi doctrine and methodology can be rebuked because ISIS emerged based of their underlying doctrine/traits. You could even argue, if you over emphasize Bidda (which tbh a lot of what they label as bidda isnt) then someone among the Awaam could start killing Mubtadi - if anything that is more likely because taking on a state is more difficult that taking on civilizian "Mubtadi" as has happened against Shia in Pakistan to just name one example.

The Shiekh revived tawheed and sunnah in the peninsula after it was corrupted by Ottoman Sufis . He was a Hanbali as well , reconsider ur attacks against the Shiekh

Saajid is always right regardless of any unpopular opinion because he is speaking from knowledge most do not have. He is speaking directly from the new revelation received for the new times and working directly with the Mahdi. He holds more knowledge than most because he speaks from the revelation received between November 2021 and November 2022, participated fully in what has transpired in the past 4 years and witnessed all that unfolded by God to bring about what was prophesied as God sets to raise Islam as promised. Syria doesn’t apply - bashaar is an alawite which you’ll have to look up as to whether such a person is even considered muslim by the scholars. Then you have the issue of rebelling against muslim rulers vs kaafir rulers if alawites are not regarded as muslim. In which case we are fully allowed to rebel if the ruler abandons salah, what then of someone who isn’t regarded as a muslim to begin with (depending again on the ruling over alawites)
