I don't think you covered pain clasp in your video. Also I will say volatility shard is one I ranked a little bit for fun and in farming, elder rifts, endless defense, and depths purging it does great. Especially if you have seeping bile and everlasting torment paired with it as a sader on a horse :)
@@MinMaxRPG For classes like DH (using Impale bleed offhand which pairs well with the current meta build) or Barb (with lacerate bleed MH) Necro (with flame golem or the bone spear poison MH)its a 24% dmg bonus and 6% movement speed with 100% uptime.
Since you have some 2 stars at rank 10, can you demonstrate a match or two in BGs with all 2 star gems awakened? It will definitely be interesting to see how a full 6 gear awakened 2 star setup will do in BGs.
It's certainly something I can do, the issue is that the game appears to snapshot your highest pvp cr and use that for matchmaking so even if I lower them down I'll be thrown in a match as the hard carry. If I get paired against a giga whale it's almost a certain loss for my team that way.
just to note, cuthroats grin does not work on summons, whatever position you are in, whether you are behind, or summons are behind, it simply does not work on summons, it only works on the main character.
I made a ticket about this earlier. Summons still dont work with a lot of gems. I think they might not even work with fervent fang based in the testing iv’e done so far :(
@@Auroth_DI yeah, but summons also have other OP bugs in them like they are not affected by Holy Banner's 35% crit damage limit and they do full crits. Very op
@@MinMaxRPG with the way it is worded, I believe it is an effect that will display itself in the character sheet. Which means it will most definitely affect summons also. I think this gem is safe.
A friendly reminder for all necros is that a lot of effects dont work for ur summons. Cutthroath’s grin for example does not increase the chc of your summons. I have created tickets about this. If a summon killls an enemy it doesnt trigger seled’s weakening. Im not sure if fervent fang is working either. Bloody reach works, BSJ works, pain clasp works, berserkers eye work and followers burden ofc works.
Useful and informative video. One more gem worth mentioning is Everlasting Torment. It's also a very good 1 star gem, basically a cheap alternative to Seeping Bile. In my Wizard I even prefer it to Berserker's Eye...
Hmm, given that many of us can only free 1-3 slots for the 2 star gems to mix and match, could you perhaps provide a quick ranking of the best gems by class and PVP/PVE? As you mentioned, some gems are better for melee, some for ranged, and some are specific to class (e.g. Follower's Burden is best for necro).
I'm playing Wizard (and I'm F2P) and I'm working to build the following gems: 1) Pain clasp Rank6, Fervent Fang Rank6, Mother's lament rank 6, Bloody Reach (Rank5), The Abiding Curse Rank5 and Kir Sling Rank5 (the ranks are selected according for how much gem power I have available at the moment). I think that leaves me with a 990 Resonances, 4 damage gems and 2 utility/defensive gems. I'm mostly PvE but going into PvP more regulary, what do you think? what would you recomend?.
This new 2* will break the BG. Gloom or toxic set already inrease a lot crit chance. If you add an extra 32 monk or dh will be even more overpowered lol
Using fervent fang as fodder way back has been one of my biggest DI mistakes lol. Anyway, this new Mother's Lament will likely be the gem to finally replace my everlasting torment (or bloody reach if I ever switch to melee) but I think I would miss having a bleed effect proc on crit hit instead of 20% when dealing damage. Then again 32% crit chance is nutty even with strife. My current setup is bsj, bile and rank 10s: clasp, p&c, bloody reach, eT
I've been using a rank 10 of it since DH lvl 120ish paragon, but being at 700 now, there is other gear that increase atk speed better without taking up a gem slot... I'd definitely recommend it for early/mid paragon lvl DH.
Pain Clasp is easily the highest dmg 2* gem in the game now along with being one of the strongest gems overall for the purposes of raw dmg output. With that said you really undervalued Power and Command especially on barbs, that dispell is a game changer for Barbarians because of undying rage you dont ever worry about being blown up directly by a whale but what will get you is Seeping Bile and Whales using Everlasting Torment, having those Dots tick on you through your cheat death through your undying rage and preventing you from first aiding is atleast 40% of my deaths in a BG. but now with P&C so many times ill be there in undying rage trying to time out a first aid bandage tick when instead the Bile is just dispelled same thing with Everlasting torment which a lot of whale Necros and Saders are using right now. For me personally Pain Clasp >>> the best gem for Raw dmg in PvE and PvP since your burn gives you 100% uptime of the gem effect for Utility Power and Command nice mix of dmg and crucial utility OR Kir Sling a reactive AoE interrupt when being attacked will by you time to counter CC your enemies with a Dash.

Good catch, I only mentioned it in the intro that it's a top 6 imo. Will pin this, thanks!
Was gonna say the same . Im a monk at about 1200 res and I'm running a lev 10 pain clasp and I personally love it.

I'm really hoping the new gem doesn't have an issue with Necro either.

Lida do you have a place to dm? Noticed i havent seen you on the server lately....
Abiding Curse effect does not benefit from Barons set in damage. Yet, the duration of the curse is extended by 30% when using Barons set
Interesting, thanks for the info!

Those are great choices imo, wouldn't change any of them.
Does Kir sling needs to have potency in order to proc the stun as it is?
No it will proc without potency but the duration is affected by potency.
I used all 2 star for farm only it will give me 60 percent chance to find magic item fast..on dungeons and open world farm.
Lot of people saying they like it for the magic find as well.
wait a sec, does that persistence of fervent fang apply to players? for example does it last the duration of a battleground?

Only get 10% crit you have to count for strife debuff
Excelente información but no inf of pain clasp?
so if im in a raid and everyone is running seeping bile can the boss be affected by all the dots from all the biles at the same time
2* gems are best for f2p, 60% magic find is better, than 0% with 6 5* gems with 3-4 level.
They're also better for damage output as well in a lot of situations.

you left out pain clasp, its the best 2* IMO
I mention it as one of the top 6 but forgot to include a description of why. Thanks for mentioning it!

Does abiding curse proc chip?
Nope. It's just movement slow. Kir sling does proc chip however
Does cutthroats grin + 4pc gloom set, stack crits?
Yes it should afaik.
