It has sharp thorns on tips like other agaves?
How come it doesn't have the dark red color to the edges that an ebony is known for?

I have the same ebony as you. Mine never colored it’s leafs.
It is not an ebony, probably a Miranda or lipstick but 100% not an ebony.
