It's comforting to know that even if we miss a Daily Woo due to a busy schedule, we can always unwind at the end of the night with a mini binge. No better way to end the day. Thanks Adam.
Having visited central Florida back in 2012 the bok tower / spook hill segment brought so many memories as it was one of our favourite places! Thanks for the video rob for the uk
THANKS so much I know you won't remember but I suggested Bok Tower a long time ago I was so excited to see you finally got there - keep on seeking, searching and learning
such a fun, interesting and absolutely beautiful location! thank you for sharing this incredible place with us!! safe travels and have a beautiful weekend! lots of love and hugs from Seattle!💕
Any man who likes a moat around his "place" is a man after my own heart! I often tell DH that our retirement cabin is gonna be surrounded by a moat...heheheheh. Safe travels, hun. 😆
What a great vlog today! My grandparents used to live in Lake Wales and a lot of the stops you made today brought back a ton of awesome memories! Thank you Adam the Woo!!!!
Thanks for the stroll down Memory Lane with the Mystery Mobile and the trip to the 80's Arcade Store. When I was a little kid "Scooby Doo Where Are You" was one of my favorite Saturday morning cartoon shows. It still is! I remember when the first video games from Intellivision came on the market in the late 1970's-early 1980's. The first video game I ever played was "Space Armada". I loved playing Pac Man and Burger Time too!
The bells are actually a Carillon. Its a very interesting musical instrument and takes years to master. I love that they still have one there, there arent many left!
Love Spook Hill. but have only gone when temps in the 90's. Couldn't even conceive spending the money to go to Bok Towers and walk around in the heat. Thanks for letting me see what I have been missing. I have enjoyed the beautiful music because you can hear it from a distance.
My husband's stomping grounds is Lake Wales. We tried to live down there. He took me to spook hill. Really cool, but him being him explained what makes the car roll "up" hill
Fun fact! The town I live in, Alturas, was once considered the highest point in Florida. Alturas means altitude in spanish. Highway 60 almost came right through here, until the discovery of the land where Bok Tower is.
There was a carillon.... well still is, on the Campus of the University of Northern Iowa, in Cedar Falls. My brother and I used to climb up and watch the man play.... it was utterly fascinating to watch... but man was it hot in there in the summer. He would play in a pair of shorts only. The bells were so beautiful and relaxing to listen to. GREAT vlog, Adam!
Its dope when you meet up and bring along fans or Tim or Justin ! Arcade 80s looked so rad I used to have a teddy ruxpin he would talk aww the memories
Bok Tower Garden looked so beautiful. We are going to make a point to go next time we are there! And that game store!!! My son would love it. Thanks for showing us, and have a great day!
I love Bok tower! Its a beautiful place. Just don't look in the bushes around the edges of the pond. Last time I was there, there were a bunch of snakes hanging off the bushes.
Yes, we went there once, there was a big snake sunning himself on a rock by the pond. Also went when there were flying worm things dropping from the trees! Glad I had a hat that day. Lovely place, though. Peaceful.
The tower is also known as The Singing Tower, and it was built by Dutch immigrant Edward Bok, who had it built in 1929. The gardens were begun in 1921, and were designed by the noted ladscape architech Frederic Law Olmstead, who designed, New York's Central Park, among many other beautiful parks. Mr. Bok was the editor of the popular women's magazine, The Ladies Home Journal.
Hi Adam! It's great to see that you hit up the Winter Haven area. Now I wish I hadn't stayed home that day in Lake Wales. One day I hope to meet you as you are one of my favorite celebrities. Keep up the travels and adventures! Comment......over!
Man, I wish Casper had been our school mascot. Because my high school opened in the late '60s, we were the Space Pioneers. Yeah. I've been out of school almost 20 years, and I'm still scratching my head over that one. Happy Friday, all!
Thank you for this!!! I loved Bok Tower when we lived there.... Dad actually worked in Lake Wales, but we lived in a small town named Lake Alfred.... I can't wait to show my husband tonight. I keep telling him about this place.. The carillons are beautiful. I didn't see it, but they used to have lots of squirrels and beautiful black and white swans in the reflection pond. LOL we used to take everyone that came to visit over to Spook Hill. Thanks for all those beautiful memories!
I loved the Mystery Machine and the 80's store. Oh, how I miss the 80's. The gardens were absolutely beautiful, it is awesome the man who created it gets to rest there forever. I hope that web didn't stick it to you after your tumble and you had a sore neck all night. Hoping you have a great weekend. Until tomorrow...
We have a road like that here by my house in Franklin Lakes, NJ. It is in the magazine Weird NJ. They call it Gravity Hill. Ewing Ave exit off Route 208 South if you are ever traveling thru NJ!
What? Never been to Bok Tower? Oh so peaceful! The Friends of Bok tower have made it such a cool place. Glad you got to see it. I think your Mom would like it too.
The next time you go, sneak in some unsalted, raw peanuts. They used to actually sell them there to feed the squirrels. Even though you can't buy them there anymore, the squirrels still remember. They'll take them right out of your hands but it does get pretty scary when you have 15-20 squirrels following you and you start to run low on peanuts. I love Bok Tower.
Hey, Mr. The Woo. Interesting WDW trivia related to this video. The bell instrument thing is called a carillon. You might have seen a "portable" version of one at EPCOT Center, I know in '99 when I was there. The guy that owns it would be contracted to play at EPCOT. He was also on America's Got Tallent. You can check out videos of him.
I would never wish you harm, but your physical humor always makes me laugh. Please keep it up...just be safe. Btw, I've often seen the tower from a distance, but never knew anything about it...thanks for sharing. Great vlog.
No more sugar in the coffee! A little more cream is okay. I dropped sugar when I saw cowboys doing without it on a Rawhide episode after they lost their chuck wagon supplies. Got used to it in a few days. Now coffee tastes great, like actual coffee.
I love the Old School 80s Arcade Shop! brings back memory's Playing the Old Nintendo console, Playing Super bros, and Super Mario 2&3. plus does any body remember Commodore 64! that was Awesome too when i first played on it when i was 11 in 1989. Ca't beat the 80s 90s!
Glad to have you home in the greater Orlando area Mr. Woo. It's gonna be getting pretty warm around here really quick. I'll be taking off in mid April as well. NYC for me. But only for 5 days :( Then back to the humidity. A friend got me tickets for SNL!
Happy Friday Everyone, Watched & Liked! 👍🏼👍🏼 ... Dope vlog Adam, very fun to watch 👍🏼I wish I can buy all the toys I had in the 80's again 😢. I was obsessed with M.A.S.K and He-Man.
How about a little Raindrops Keep Falling On My Head next time it rains? I can't remember the name of the mountain, but years ago when my parents and I visited New Brunswick, Canada, we went up one where if you turn your car off it will actually pull your car uphill several miles. And I actually had that ET game as a kid. It might even still be in the attic for all I know.
Had a great time with you yesterday. You see stuff in my town that I don't even notice anymore, like the Mystery Machine bus! Have a great day bud!
good times !
You kept me in stitches all day! :D
Thank you!
It was pretty cool to see both of you guys together. Great job guys.
George @ 9:22 your dash peeling back from the sun (I have the same car it does that too) we both need glue ...LOL
It's comforting to know that even if we miss a Daily Woo due to a busy schedule, we can always unwind at the end of the night with a mini binge. No better way to end the day. Thanks Adam.

3:15 I didn't mean to laugh, but man that was hilarious! And then you slowed it down, and the Oww! I was rolling on the floor. Good stuff, fellas.
