I love how four of five guys are immediately vibing with it and one is just getting philosophical with it lmao
Lmao, dude looked disturbed
The guy in the gray shirt was analyzing for real.
@@luongk88 I’ll just pretend that’s a pun.
@@marcelgardner8497 yup. It's the kind of face I do when I'm actively analysing a new song
Vibe first, understand after a few plays 😂
Rest in peace, Joey Jordison. One of the greatest drummers of his time.
All>his... Just saying 🤣
Bruh how you gonna leave out #2… smh. Joey jordison the best percussionist out foreals I still remember when he had no eyebrows haha rip to him and Paul
of ALL time.
@@ArmorMaster13 bro what ☠️
@@thomasjefferson2676 Neil Peart has entered the chat*
Listening to this whole album makes you 150% stronger in the gym.
I completely agree. 🇧🇷
Oh absolutely
Almost makes you wonder how powerful we are
I will try it out 👊💪
Facts
After being a fan of Slipknot for over 20 years, I finally got to see them live for the first time Saturday night. IT WAS AWESOME.
Blue Ridge! I was there too!
@@faraoh700 awesome weekend 🤘
ive seen them 4 times in the last year ... i can honestly say no amount is enough, corey's voice :') and the band, I have so much love and respect for them! hell yeah!!
Same, I get to see them for the first time on the 21st. I'm taking my sons (10 & 11) to their first concert.
Fuck yes. Awesome for you. I'm at the opposite end of the spectrum having seen Slipknot in Atlanta at Ozzfest in 99 when they were new. Static-X was there on the little stage too. Drain STH. Good times.
This song is about Cory's migraines. The music video is dope. They legit destroy a house.
One of the best videos ever made
@@matrikzdaclown7496 The "Duality" video shoot was the biggest film event in Des Moines since the 1994 shooting of the flick "The Bridges of Madison County,"
It was also a fans house!! Slipknot paid the family and helped with repairs after, eheheh😊
@@listerine5257 i think it was a renovation, the fan offered the house to the band to take care of the demolition and the band payed for the work to fix it.
I Remember seeing this video for the first time when it came out I was 14. It was sick!!
Yes! Please check out "Wait and Bleed, People=Sh*t, or Welcome" from Slipknot! They go SO hard!
Heretic Anthem, (sic), and Eyeore as well!
Wait and Bleed one of my favorite all time songs
Spit it out!
cant forget Disasterpiece 🔥
Wait and bleed is about suicide, but it’s a banger and my favorite.
65 year old black man here that is a HUGE Slipknot fan!!!! Great to see your reactions to this group! Just subscribed hoping to see more reactions in the future....;)
I'll be 60 next year. Last night, in the pit for the Dallas show, was LIT! I wasn't the only gray hair there! 😂😂😂🤘🏻🖤🤘🏾
@@LauraHalvar Hardcore Laura!!!! LOVE IT!!!!
That's awesome! Both of you!!
@@raymurray9688 I can't understand why more older folks don't vibe with Heavy Metal. I would rather thrash and bang my head than be a Karen. 🤣
@@LauraHalvar Haha. Good for you. Listening to some good shit and having fun.
Mick Thompson, lived in des moines, went to valley high-school in west des moines iowa, dad was best friends with him back in high-school, used to play guitar all the time with him, i have so many stories to tell, born and raised, I'm proud to be an Iowan partially because of this band as a whole, changing nu metal for LIFE
Was the whole band from Iowa? Except Cory?
@@johnnysmith4553 Cory was born in des moines, as well as most of the band except for a few, Jim and Paul are not from iowa. Shaun actually lived less than a block from where I was raised
@@anthonyclose6992 very cool. I remember when they had first hit it big. I live in IL and had met a few guys that were working for a company that was located close to me. They were traveling for work and we had just randomly met at a bar. After talking fir awhile we got on the subject of slipknot. They had went to school and played football with a few guys of the group. I remember hearing them for the first time and just thinking....your probably never gonna hear a band like this again in a lifetime
I thank yall for trying out slipknot they are my favourite and i know they arent for everyone:)psychosocial is a good one to have a listen too! yall have such wonderful character's and personality. A big happy hello from Sacramento California!
Psychosocial has such a great message as well that I relate too
Should bump All out life up the list as well ☺️
Besides the riffs the only thing they really appreciated was the chorus. If it wasn't for the chorus I think they would of turned it off real quick 😄
Next time watch a slipknot video
@christina ellis you going to see them next week?
When you guys all start headbanging in sync it reminded me of that scene from Wayne's World when they're in the car headbanging to Bohemian Rhapsody.
Peace
100%
This song is phenomenal. Slipknot is too good. Their music is fantastic. What a band. Heavy and melodic with changing time signatures and flows we can all catch. And Corey Taylor is awesome. He's rapping, he's singing, he's screaming and growling and we're all bouncing and singing along.
its been crazy seeing you guys expand your knowledge outside your comfort zones. been a pleasure to witness
Corey Taylor is the lead vocalist and you should look at his other band Stone Sour. He is so different in that band and I think it showcases his abilities in a different way. You can really appreciate his talent after going from Slipknot to Stone Sour. He is so so so talented.
Agreed, that and his solo ventures, both are completely different than this
So true, through the glass is my fave of theirs
Don't forget about Apocalyptica! I Don't Care
@@Purplefirefly87 I think they only worked together for I'm not Jesus, but they're still great lol
I like the song he did with soul fly. It was pertty hard. The guy can sing probably anything
Slipknot's song Snuff is hands down one of the best songs, not as hard of a song, but easily one of the best.
agreed, but its hard in a different way
No, Disasterpiece Yes
It's a good song but fucking weird and creepy.. It wouldn't be my intro to them..
If you're diving into Slipknot, might as well go all in!
@@mikewhitmore4502 my intro was physcosocial so...
These dudes rock. Open to pretty much anything. We should all be a little more like them.
Slipknots style of music is definitely different than any other band/song I’ve seen you guys react to yet. They’re a sound all their own…with lyrics often about pain and suffering. I absolutely love the fact that you guys always stay open minded!
Slipknot sounds like sounds like a war being fought inside a factory. Love this shit lol
8:25 "it's like he was pushed to the edge" - yep, edge of that chair's ability to stay upright.
I believe this one is about the Migraines that Corey gets, generally induced by all "the things I have to take", and the feeling of hopelessness he has during them because it feels never-ending.
Migraines fucking suck. And putting pressure on your eyes can often help with a lot of the pain so I think you’re right.
It's just a metaphor 😄
I can confirm this
I was looking for this comment. 👍
@@brandonguindon1056 No, the meaning behind this song stated during an interview. It's not actually a metaphor, this is one of Corey's very literal songs.
RIP JOEY JORDISON one of the best drummers in rock history
Very nice! Im glad you are not a channel that keeps stopping the song while it's playing, you guys react to it in a nice way!
You should check out "Spit it out" by them. Its one of their early songs and it shows their roots in the nu metal/rap metal sub genre's
I was just trying to think of this song, watching it in concert is insane 😑
Specifically Download 2009
@@nobodyimportant1337 I was there! 🤟
Yes, you guys should do it! Keep up the the good work!
@@nobodyimportant1337 No, they should do the lyrics one first, because while great live the lyrics just gets muffled and sounds like mumbling live if you don't know them.
@@nobodyimportant1337 Came to take exactly that. That crowd was absolutely insane, and the control he has over them is enough to give a person chills
Wasn’t expecting y’all to jump into Slipknot. Haven’t listened to them in a good while but Dead Memories is my top 3 favorites. Check that song out sometime guys.
Dead memories and Psychosocial are both great.
@@reactivereplays5666 agreed!
Whole album slaps
@@ceaserknk6640 there only a few songs I like through out the whole album. I’ll check out a few more songs but this song they did, not really a fan of but it didn’t hurt to listen for my first time.
@@colbywitha_5.4I think this is their best album also. Great all the way through. Vermillion is a sleeper track outside of the heavy hitters on that album. So good!
I love yalls reactions! I'm a new fan but a big fan.
And my man in the back with the "don't happy, be worry" shirt... that's awesome.
Loved watching your reactions and the head bobbing 🤘🏻. Classic Slipknot can't be beat
Check out Slipknot live at Download 2009 'Spit it out' absolutly insane
Have you seen the live at dynamo 2000 video?
Welcome to Slipknot! It’s crazy that y’all are diving into this Genres of music.
I loved this song as a kid, I'm 26 now, and still one of my all time favorites
The metal and rock reactions yall do is pure awesomeness! Love it
Do more Slipknot please :D
Psychosocial, Solway Firth, Nero Forte, The Devil in I, are all great songs to listen to
Everyone of those is amazing dude. I think solway girth is probably my favorite though.
Beautiful! Slipknot are metal goats. I think a few Slipknot videos you’d like are Nero Forte, Psycosocial or Solway firth. A great live performance would be “spit it out Live at download 2009”. I hope you guys do some more Slipknot. Peace fellas.
I think the best thing about Slitknot is that if you see the live they sound identical to their albums, it’s a phenomenal amount of talent and they’re still rocking
these the coolest niggas i know. always appreciate when yall drop a video. stay blessed fam
One thing I really like about the video for Duality is there's a pretty good visual for the influence music can have. At one point in the video, all the kids are just ROCKING when Corey (the lead singer for those that don't know) raises his hand. They all just stop. That's when the lyrics "All I have is insane" kick in. The kids put on a pretty good display of seething(?) until the crescendo hits then BAM, right back to rocking out until the song ends.
React to Alice in Chains - Love, hate love - live at the moore please!!! one of the best singers of all time.
This, this, THIS!!!!! ^^^^^^
I love that you guys vibe to all types of music it's bad ass. Love your channel.
Good looking brothers, slipknot truly helped when my dad died good to see cultures congregating and joining
Yes!!! Slipknot!!! They got a DJ scratching, and 3 different percussionists. You have to watch their music videos and live concerts!!
This is my favorite band of all time and I got to see them for the first time in March it was amazing RIP Joey Jordison my favorite drummer of all time and RIP Paul Gray one of the founding members
Awesome, I'm going to see them live soon! The concerts are such an experience!
So glad you guys did this song!! Memory lane for sure!
I'm so happy you guys listened! I'm curious about you're reaction to one of their heavier songs....Try "People=Shit" next
I love this song
The feeling.
The meaning.
It’s awesome
Great reaction gentleman, much respect.🤘🏻
What a fun reaction video! Loved it, I subscribed so keep it up! :D
“Spit It Out” is a goated Slipknot song. Corey Taylor spitting bars in a heavy metal song, Highly recommend 🔥🔥🔥
True
The live version is nucking futz and with the Jump the fuck up its gnarly my nephews first show he got to experience it
I’m not a slipknot fan, but this song right here is special. This is one of those songs that will get everyone nodding their heads, regardless of what type of music they listen to.
One of my favourite Slipknot songs! Been a fan since I was 18. I’m now 39, saw them for the first time in Jan 2020. One of the best concerts I’ve ever been to.
I love how your reviewing alot of the bands I've seen!✌️😁
I'd love to see you guys react to People = Shit by Slipknot but idk if it'll be too hard for you guys. It's one of my favorites and a must listen for anyone checking out Slipknot
Don't forget our national anthem Surfacing.
@@alfonsoreyes8121 I could never forget our national anthem! I saw them live recently and being in the audience to raise my middle fingers while screaming Surfacing was one of the highlights of the night
“Spit it out” live. They are just as explosive and exciting live. Trust me, won’t disappoint.
Y’all was talking about sports, games, athletes, etc. in the back of my mind I was like my boys had to have played Madden and especially Madden 10. Just 1 outta 5 knows this from Madden and my lawwwd I lost it this whole video. Big fan of both CF and The Knot. Thanks a bunch fellas 👍💪
You guys are so fun to watch!
the reason the guitar and drums sound so good is because there are 9 members in the band:
1 singer
2 guitars
1 bass guitar
1 drummer
2 custom percussionists
1 dj
1 sampler/keyboards
As a metal head of almost 25 years, appreciate y’all doing this. Check out My Own Grave by All That Remains is melodic hardcore and you won’t regret it hailz 🤘🏽🤘🏽
So cool to see you guys jamming Slipknot! Looks like you enjoyed it 👌🤘
Fun watching you guys enjoy this tune!
So glad you finally reacted to Slipknot, they have so many songs you haven’t even come close to scratching the surface of their catalog. Side note they have songs with the rapper Tech N9ne.
"No Life" from 1999 is more Rap than anything else from them ❤️
Nah spit it out
Only one is probably the most rap idk what you’re talking about
I am hated
Self titled has more hip hop sounds than the other albums
I love to see you guys like slipknot! Rock on.🤘🏻
Watching people discover the music my youth makes my heart sing.
I love that you guys do these rock joints! Keep it up! React to System of a Down “Chop Suey” pleeeeeease! I think you guys would go crazy in the best way!!! I also think you guys would love the videos for Korn songs. Try “Freak On A Leash” or “Falling Away From Me.” Also, I think I heard you guys mentioned Limp Bizkit in the Papa Roach reaction? “Nookie” by Limp Bizkit is a dope song and video and also “Break Stuff” has some dope hip hop legends in it as cameos.
They already did Chop Suey
Wait and bleed. First song I ever heard from the slip, still hits.
Got a new sub love to see people open to all different kinds of music
I thought these guys were gonna rip this. So cool seeing them jam to slipknot. These dudes are pretty darn cool
When you do “spit it out” and you will…. PLEASE do the album/lyric video and NOT the live version for your first listen like EVERYONE else seems to do.
Hard agree. You can barely hear anything Corey is saying in that live clip, and he’s so out of breath from getting the crowd worked up lol
@@ZodsSnappedNeck which is hilarious because Slipknot crowds aren't hard to hype hahaha, it comes with the territory.
Corey is just a true professional
@@ZodsSnappedNeck exactly, which is fine if you’re a Slipknot fan and already know the lyrics. Reactors on their first listen to the song where Corey “Raps”, and their primarily hip hop heads hence the suggestion to react, then they literally miss everything he’s saying. Live reactions are fine if you’re reacting to the show/performance itself and the crowd and it’s energy. Sonically though they typically don’t track and you lose something on a first listen
Respect 🤘 it was a good reaction.
Heck yeah! Saw Slipknot a few months ago n Cypress Hill opened up for Slipknot. I was full on dressed up like pinhead from Hellraiser bustin out Cypress Hill songs n B Real pointed us out. Epic show.
You got all the Stan's for the Eminem videos, now you're about to get the "maggots" for Slipknot 🤘🤘🤘
Their live performance of "spit it out" is epic. The way the lead sing Corey controls the crowd is crazy
Too bad Cory sounds like shit and is almost unintelligible in that clip
@@ZodsSnappedNeckYeah, hard enough song to do live, let alone to do it to finish a 90min set.
@@ZodsSnappedNeckhis voice sounds good on Download 2009
I just found your channel today and am cracking up because I listened to this song just yesterday (not my first time).
Just subscribed for more Slipknot! Bring it! You’re about to get TONS of views. Here comes the Maggot Army!
The video for this song and Dead Memories are great. If you can get the video and lyrics at the same time it would be great!
This is one of my favourite slipknot songs. The music video is insane, but in my opinion psychosocial has the best music video.
And also, the guy in the white shirt was a metal head in his past life
Just watched you guys react to spit it out live, but this is great how into it you guys are immediately
Also the homeboy right about duality being in madden 10 I remember it with them bones sabotage and reckoning whenever I went to family gatherings good shit my guys
You should check out "Disasterpiece" "Left Behind" and "Unsainted"
Not my type of music but I remember Slipknot being massive when I was in highschool... I was listening to Dr Dre Chronic 2001 and next to me was kids listening to Slipknot, they were raw af.
@CartierFamily So I appreciate you guys broadening the spectrum of music to try. I have seen slipknot 3 times this past year. So taking absolutely nothing from them you should give a reaction to LORNA SHORE'S song INTO THE HELLFIRE. To see yalls reaction to that would be awesome. They have a new lead singer will Ramos who is so talented it's disgusting.
This song has been a part of my life for the longest and it blows my mind y'all are just now hearing it 😂🤣 I love y'alls reaction it lol
The first time I seen one of their videos with the masks on I was like wtf? Yes it creeped me out! I don’t know if you know this but the singer Corey Taylor is also in the group Stone Sour which is rock but not hard rock as Slipknot and he also has done some solo work as well. He is a very talented individual! My husband absolutely loves Slipknot! Me that’s too much for me but I do like Stone Sour.
Whoever's reading this, i pray that whatever you're going through gets better and whatever you're struggling with or worrying about is going to be fine and that everyone has a fantastic day! Amen
Thanks, I really did need that. Appreciation.
Amen
Yes Thanks I really appreciate it
My mind is broken and I am literally falling apart so think you for this.
I think you guys might be ready for Meshuggah. The live drum cam of Bleed would make a good jump off. Keep it coming, love the reactions!
Love it!! You guys went hard. I have a Slipknot tattoo.
Melhor react da melhor banda dos melhores amigos , valeu galera Slipknot é demaaaaais 🤟🎶😎
React psychosocial 😅
Belém - Pará - Brasil
Time for some Falling in Reverse!
Classic! The dude on the left had stank face banging his head the whole time. You guys are cool! 🤘
Y'all are awesome!!
Yall have to do Will Ramos one take vocal performance of To the Hellfire. You won't BELIEVE the sounds that come out of his mouth
He is my favourite singer of all times 😍❤👍
@@charlotterockel-kennedy8913 Singer?
Or vocalist? I have yet to hear a discernable note from him 🤔
I can't imagine this song without the music video anymore haha
Definitely want to hear y’all do Wait & Bleed!
Slipknot "Before I forget" is a great song that you guys might want to check out. Thank you guys everything you do
The range of facial reactions is killing me 😂 It’s okay guys, it’s not for everyone (including me). You’re awesome for riding it out.
Yep, some of them were like: wtf is this? Hahaha
I first saw Slipknot in 99 in Ankeny Iowa. Saw them again in 2019, once again playing for their home state crowd. Phenomenal band and 2 of my all time favorite experiences.
Awesome tune and first reaction!! ✌️🤘🤘🤘🤘✌️
All your reactions are perfect
First time watching your channel. Great choice for a reaction. Just watching it now, and I feel the dude (sorry don't know your names) in the back on the right is really feeling this shit! They are a great band a I recommend more!
Great content 🙏🏼
You guys were awesome!!
You’re right! Madden 10! My favorite one! My brother and I played through 25 seasons in Franchise mode! Awesome!
It's cool to watch these guys actually enjoy the knot!!
