I can't enable because i have no cell. Also it is impossible to type the password in with only 10 seconds. The password is 12 characters long and it random numbers and upper letter and a lower case letters.

I think I found the fix for most of you, and myself. I had to go into my account settings and enable two-step verification. Once I did that, I was able to use the auto generated password to get back into my account, and then login with my usual password. It worked, good luck guys and gals.

Okay for people if you are getting error even if you are entering the right QR code . Please don't forget to activate 2-Factor or 2-step verification because sony don't allow QR code untill your phone number has been verified

Mine worked on the PS Vita since this is a second hand one, meaning I had to wipe and format the system and link my own PSN account in. This worked, same with your video. Then create a device password, key the password in it gives you on the PS3, but before you sign in click done on the main account page ( this verifies the code officially) then complete the sign in on the PS3.

That is why Sony did it. It is to make people playing on PS3 frustrated. There is a small number of people who have lost their account due to this new method.

Thank you so much fixed, my issue was I pressed R2 shortcut for capital letters but it wasn't registering which forced me to press X to switch to all capitals on the display keyboard input. 😇😍🥳👍🤩

I have no issues on my Vita. I did the exact same thing. Make sure to make another generated password for the Vita. You can't use the same generated Password on the Vita that you used on the PS3
Okay I had this issue and this might help others. I was trying to log into my psn account on my gf’s PS3. I watched the other vid and figured out the 2FA and the QR code thing. Quite simply it just didn’t work. Kept telling me I couldn’t log into my account with a different email address. After trying this 50+ times I gave up. I tried literally anything I could think of to solve the puzzle. The only thing that solved the problem was having my gf do the same process but only on her psn account. Worked the first time she tried. Idk why this process would be this complicated to just log into my account that I’ve had 15 yrs. Or why they would feel the need to lock ppl out of an account with a process this dumb. Hope this helps someone else! Last ditch effort and it worked.

I can tell you that entering the password wrong just isn’t the case. It’s an issue on Sony’s end that they don’t care enough to fix.

Yeah, the PS Vita was an odd handheld with only one PSN account locked into the handheld.

Changing your username will mess up a lot of things on the PS3. I would not recommend it
It kept popping up with the qr code I fixed it by enabling 2 factor authentication after I did it worked. Hope this helped

I think you may need to rebuild the PS3 with recovery menu. I have never heard this error.

I tried many times giving me always the same loop of qr codes between console amd computer or my mobile. I never wanted to use the 2 steps verification, but I decided to give a try..and how random just after that , I generated a new password , put exactly capitals on and off when required , and yes it logge in, even though I'm totally disappointed by this method
Yeah it is just pretty lame but they just doing it on purpose. Many people have lost there accounts due to not having email access or remembering the passwords.
