When the teacher and the kids sing and dance, I suddenly felt cringe and got goosebumps. But I cried right after because I wondered why couldn't I find it "normal". I remember I also had my period early in elementary school and my mother was very worried as if it was a disease. At that time, menstruation was taught at school quite late. As a child who didn't know anything about menstruation, I was very confused and embarrassed
This ad made me recall when I got periods for the first time. I was 10 yrs old then. I had no idea what periods were. Few days before that one of my classmates got it too and I thought someone used red sketch pen on her skirt and that's why she was crying. Few days after, I got my periods and I was in school. I had really high fever too. I went home told my mother about it and she explained it to me. I too used to think whenever these ads came that it might be for some disease. Little did I know it was all a healthy and normal thing. I am glad these things are being given due attention now a days. Awareness about this among both girls and boys is really important.

It is the most beautiful thing that boys are learning this too. I'm sharing one of my worst experience in periods here. when I was in class 10th. I went school on my period day. at midday one of my friends told me that my clothes from behind are stained too much. then my friends told this to mam and we have to ask for leave from a male sir. we couldn't tell him the actual reason so we told them that I am getting fever. My clothes were so stained that I had to cover it by the bag. then I went home crying in the way and adjusting bag worryingly. after reaching home I washed my clothes. then in evening my friend call me and said that my chair in school was dirty with blood and I have to clean it. I didn't want to go school next day but because of the chair I went. I had taken a wet piece of cloth and went school 2 hr early. there were cameras in classrooms ...so I cleaned the chair with the fear that the camera would capture it. One of my male teachers saw that I came too early to school. At midday my brother came to take me home...then the teacher asked him that why I came so early. but he didn't know anything about it. they both let it go in a laugh. then I reached home. It was one of the most horrifying day of my life. this is the reason that boys too should know about the periods and not in a way that girls are impure but in a way that it is natural and no girl should ashamed of it. 🩸♥️✨

Since I had a lot of free time, I would borrow books from older students and read them. I think I discovered it in the 10th book. Initially, I was surprised and felt like I was so unaware that women around me were experiencing this, and we had no idea about it.

Till 8th class syllabus is very easy and not so new. So I got a lot of free time. So we sat on the last bench and read random books like that I told above or Panchtantra or other .

Came to see this video after watching a short related to this video and the song used is shown of this video. So, I came to see this video and get to know about this wonderful message spreading among each and everyone, whether it is a boy or girl actually does not matter. Actually, the menstrual cycle or periods, which each and every girl used to have in every month is a common issue, it is not very complicated. So, we should not also make it complicated and make young girls (whose puberty starts at very early age) made frightened. We really have come a long way from watching "blue liquid on pads" and happy adult women running around during periods to the actual red blood and kids having periods being shown to all. Wish I had seen this when I was 11 and got my first periods.
I started crying after watching this...i got my period at the age of 9 ,that too 14 yrs back when it wasnt as common as it is nowadays to get at a young age and i was terrified,i had absolutely no idea what and why this was happening to me,i had never paid attention to the ads on tv cuz they showed women of ages 25 in them hence i never had the curiosity about periods...and then they hit me one day like a lightning bolt and believe me till this day i have a strong hatred for periods cuz i never understood why i got them early when other girls hadnt and deprived me of things i could do as a child..i wish i had more info on what periods were back when i got them ...i am glad we are talking about this topic now

Honestly this whisper ad I saw on yt ad and didn't skip it. It feels so good when i see we are having good conversation and giving good information about periods❤. I remember when I had my first we were told not to step in kitchen, don't touch plants, don't go to play outside, be isolated and a lot more😢. I felt very dejected and thought I'm not healthy so I'm suffering from a disease and honestly it was a fully taboo back in 2007😢. Even talking about it to girls or sisters were considered bad manners. But now when my niece had her 1st period and the way my sister, jiju and my nephew handled it i was so happy. Congratulations to us that now our girls don't feel ashamed of periods anymore
Thank you for such initiative ❤ I was 12 years old when I got this 😢 there was a lot of hurdle I had to face, firstly I thought 😅 having any cut in abdomen if my family got to know about that , they will scold me,probably they will not let me go outside for playing tried my hard to hide it from my family but I couldn't bear the pain and said to my cousin sister and thankfully she shared everything with my mom.

Came to see this video after watching a short related to this video and the song used is shown of this video. So, I came to see this video and get to know about this wonderful message spreading among each and everyone, whether it is a boy or girl actually does not matter.
Actually, the menstrual cycle or periods, which each and every girl used to have in every month is a common issue, it is not very complicated. So, we should not also make it complicated and make young girls (whose puberty starts at very early age) made frightened.

We really have come a long way from watching "blue liquid on pads" and happy adult women running around during periods to the actual red blood and kids having periods being shown to all. Wish I had seen this when I was 11 and got my first periods.

I started crying after watching this...i got my period at the age of 9 ,that too 14 yrs back when it wasnt as common as it is nowadays to get at a young age and i was terrified,i had absolutely no idea what and why this was happening to me,i had never paid attention to the ads on tv cuz they showed women of ages 25 in them hence i never had the curiosity about periods...and then they hit me one day like a lightning bolt and believe me till this day i have a strong hatred for periods cuz i never understood why i got them early when other girls hadnt and deprived me of things i could do as a child..i wish i had more info on what periods were back when i got them ...i am glad we are talking about this topic now

As a person who got her periods at the age of 10, it was amazing to see this. When i was a kid, I was asked not to tell my friends or anybody at my school about my periods. I wasn't really allowed to go to people's houses cuz I might stain the furniture there. I was constantly worried about what I would do I stained my clothes or the furniture, I still am. Watching this ad just brought a smile to my face. Just want to praise Whisper for this initiative, I hope young girls are not made feel lonely and scarred when it comes to periods now :))

First time I didn't skip an ad... So educative. Gilrs/females suffer alot of mental struggles in each phases of their life. Even though they aware of this like a small child, blood from their body makes them so frightened. Moreover the gradual changes in their body also make their mind to be upset.

Honestly this whisper ad I saw on yt ad and didn't skip it. It feels so good when i see we are having good conversation and giving good information about periods❤.
I remember when I had my first we were told not to step in kitchen, don't touch plants, don't go to play outside, be isolated and a lot more😢. I felt very dejected and thought I'm not healthy so I'm suffering from a disease and honestly it was a fully taboo back in 2007😢. Even talking about it to girls or sisters were considered bad manners. But now when my niece had her 1st period and the way my sister, jiju and my nephew handled it i was so happy. Congratulations to us that now our girls don't feel ashamed of periods anymore

I was 12 years old when I got this 😢 there was a lot of hurdle I had to face, firstly I thought 😅 having any cut in abdomen if my family got to know about that , they will scold me,probably they will not let me go outside for playing tried my hard to hide it from my family but I couldn't bear the pain and said to my cousin sister and thankfully she shared everything with my mom.
I was 10 just after my birthday and my mom and family said it's a big deal and not to tell anyone I was not allowed to play even in PT period, classmates isolated me... And this continued till 11th standard/grade... I went silent nd never said a word... I went silent and that was a day and it's today I am unable to take stand for myself even for right thing.. I am not blaming anyone... It was lack of knowledge and taboos
