Let me make one regretful announcement. The train you have just boarded is called Tokaido Shinkansen, which works the same way as many other trains in the world. The floating train is a high-speed train called the Linear Chuo Shinkansen. This Linear Chuo Shinkansen is still under construction.

In exchange for preferential tax treatment, Japanese cars, especially those with yellow license plates, have a set displacement, length, width, and height.
(Engine displacement 660cc or less, length 3.4m or less, width 1.48m or less, height 2.0m or less)
Therefore, many of them are square shaped to maximize the volume of the car.
Not only do these vehicles offer tax benefits, but they also consume less fuel, making them excellent for use by a single driver for daily shopping and commuting.
Currently, about 40% of all new cars sold in Japan are of this standard.
There are also two-seater mid-ship sports types, 4WD SUVs, and agricultural trucks. Some vehicles are equipped with turbocharged engines.

You're talking about Linear Chuo Shinkansen, which is under construction and will operate later than 2027. It's maximum speed will be about 500 km/h. The present fastest 320 km/h is only in Tohoku Shinkansen between Tokyo and Tohoku, north east of Japan.

Hey, it seems that Japan is currently building a new type of bullet train called the maglev Shinkansen, which will use superconducting technology to float and travel above the tracks. When completed, it's rumored to reach speeds of over 500 kilometers per hour! It's hard to believe, right? I mean, it's something I'd definitely want to experience at least once in my lifetime. You should check out the UA-cam videos of the test runs they've uploaded.

Probably takes untill 2027 to be completed or maybe not, Since Shizuoka is protesting not to dig tunnel for maglev. As not only it can harm the environment and forests, animals will have no place to live and come down to people’s house.

It's bad to go to sightseeing spots early in the morning! It's better to have a 7-Eleven! don't say extravagant

    走行中、シートを回転させるのはやめましょう。他のお客様に迷惑です。って英語で何って言うんだっけ?

Hello @Joel Friend!!! Just saw your YT video of going from Mt. Fuji -> Kyoto (via Shinkansen Mishima station)!! Question for you - how did you guys rent a car in Fuji and drop it off @ Mishima station? It looks like 1 hour drive from Fuji to Mishima station to get on to Shinkansen to Kyoto, but Google maps tells you to go back to Tokyo and then from Tokyo to Kyoto. We wanted to take train direct from Fuji to Kyoto and wanted your opinions and best route you took!! Thank you!!!
Just DMéd you on IG as well!! Thanks!
