    Nearshoring is truthly a historic opportunity for Mexico, and United States too, since both benefit of it!!!

  • @dordaz
    @dordaz Рік тому

    And Nearshoring divides in Reshoring and Onshoring. In recent years, especially after the pandemic and with the Russia war with Ukraine, there has also been an increase in the return of productive assets from Asia to North America, which had previously offshored. Outside of these developments, the reason for returning is the increase in transportation and logistics costs, the need to improve the quality and flexibility of operations, and the need to reduce the distance between companies and their customers. Onshoring is gaining relevance recently. It refers to the decision to bring back manufacturing operations, but specifically to the country of origin, the US, motivated by factors such as supply chain security and production automation. Apple announced in 2019 that it would begin manufacturing the Mac Pro in Austin, moving production from China. Dell and Hasbro did the same.

    Imagine if Mexico joined BRICS and BRI. Mexico would skyrocket economically

      Mexico is walking on eggshells because there is a poison pill clause in the new NAFTA. Mexico and Canada biggest trading partner is US.

      Hello. Duh. Spell N A F T A. No one will stop Mexico from joining BRICS but why on earth would Mexico want to target BRICS countries when these are its competitors? And besides, the optics of it alone wouldn't go down well with the US which is Mexico's biggest market.

    • @jvs333
      @jvs333 Рік тому

      @@alquinnpantilagan8293 the US has threatened Mexico about joining BRICS. The U.S. has used the threat that it would invade Mexico under the guise of drug cartels as as threat against joining. As for NAFTA the U.S. in in decline it is being propped up by debt a dying industrial base, a dysfunctional dystopian society of unskilled, poorly educated, hostile, criminal, violent, gun nut, clueless populace ill-prepared to compete in a changing technological world. It be shortsighted for Mexico to hedge its future on just the U.S./Canada (who also will be going thru its own economy issues as its too tied to the U.S. economy.
      Mexico would be smart to bring in China’s BRI and do large infrastructure investments/developments, prepare its industrial economic base for growth.
      BRICS would give it access to its large global network of trade and commerce as well as access to resources from other nations and new trade partners.
      The U.S. like all failed businesses has bankrupted itself with no real avenues to save itself from its own domestic problems. The U.S. and its G7 puppet vassal states will all be in similar economic/industrial/societal quagmires.
      BRICS just with the small number members it has has already surpassed the G7 in GDP, it also now how’s a much larger resources of natural commodities (which are needed for any industrial development). And there’s still 99+ more nations asking to join or be participants of it.
      NAFTA is nothing in comparison to BRICS.
      BRICS is the future for the 21st century
      The “American 20th century” is over.
      The American halcyon era is at its end.
      BRICS (led by China and Russia) is the new world shift.
      DUH.. broaden your sources of information so might have a clue to what things really are

      VERY risky for Mexico to act in any way against the dollar, as remittances are their second main source of income after oil revenues
