Maundy Thursday: Pilgrimage of the friars to the cenacle in Jerusalem

At this beginning of the Easter triduum, the friars of the Custody, together with the people, go as pilgrims to the Upper Room in Jerusalem, where the Last Supper and the washing of the feet recounted by John took place.

Obviously in the afternoon we go to the place of the Cenacle, what according to Latin and Franciscan tradition is the place of the Upper Room, to celebrate the institution of the Eucharist and the priesthood and to perform this gesture which is the gesture of the washing of the feet."
