I love ombre dye! What do you have that you'd love to add ombre colour to?
My wedding dress
Rockstars and Royalty I have a cotton and lace dress of my daughter that I would love to give some life or pop !
My wedding dress.
I'm actually looking into dyeing my wedding gown 👀 any tips?
This is just what I needed for a costume I want to make!
Thank you so much for the tutorial...now I have learned about another dye other than Rit
You're welcome 🙂
This is cool! Thank you! I am going to get a few white infinity dresses and dye the bridesmaids dresses according to my wedding color palette. There are three bridesmaids and one will be in midnight blue where the middle will be in a lighter blue and my MOH will be in a Caribbean blue. I am thinking of ombré dying my wedding dress to go from midnight blue up to lighter blue up to Caribbean blue then white up my bodice. I actually want to wear the infinity dress as my wedding dress but with Swarovski crystals glued on not sure if I want to ombré it or not but with the price of these dresses I can ombré one and not the other. Immersion dye the bridesmaid dresses.
Those are sooo pretty 🤩
I'm so glad I found your video! I'm moving soon and planning what I want to do as decor for my bedroom and just bought some lace sheer curtains I was thinking of dying myself to match everything else 😊
Inspiration for my wedding dress!
Thank you for posting this!
Wow! Amazing!!!!
Thank you 🙂
Thank you. I was looking for a tutorial by someone who knows what s/he is doing with dye versus a whole lot of stuff for ‘tweens & busy mommies. Good info all around.
Amazing now that's quality content!!!
Thank you

beautiful, and good tutorial, thank you!
Thank you. I'm glad you enjoyed it 💗
Thank you.
Dying is such a pain.
(Probably cuz I don't know what I'm doing)
Thank you so much!! this is what i need!
Mam can you please show the double dip ombre dyeing process for long wedding gowns?
You need to dye the fabric before you make the wedding dress. I don't dye dresses after they're made or dye premade dresses because the results can be unpredictable.
Hi,mamma, when we dye is the water still boiling,is it not damage cloth? Hw much vinegar we wants to use
Hello - I want to do this to some lace but the lace I have is polyester - I assume your lace is nylon because you used acid dye on it. I have some Rit Dyemore to use on it but that's a different kind of dye (you don't add vinegar to it) and and it says keep boiling it so I'm not sure if it will work or if I just dip it in or if I will ruin the lace if I boil it for a long time. Have you ever tried this with a poly lace?
Do your fabrics bleed a lot for a while afterwards?
Rock star, enjoyed your tutorial! Need your assistance on dyeing just the tulle on my new gown. They added it to the top of the gown along the top of the breast line to serve as "skin tone" on my black and white gown. I want to dye this black as it does not match my skin. It is just too pale pink and does not match. The gown is all black lace at the top and then turns into white fabric starting at the high waist. I am not concerned I will get black dye on the white part of the gown, but you mentioned the tulle could shrink. Do you have any suggestions?
Hi, thanks for you comment. Glad you enjoyed the tutorial. Are you able to cut a sample of the tulle from the hem or a seam allowance to test for shrinkage before you dye the gown?
If you're doing a red to purple would you do the purple first or red?
Either - You'll need to do the red from end and the purple from the other, so it's up to you which you do first
White vinegar must and should??
May i know??
Yes, white vinegar. Without it acid dye won't work.
Okay mam thank you
Hi,lam frm India, for this hw much vinegar we need, because l can't follow you .lam weak in english.is the colour dilauted in water and vinegar mix ...plz replay me
Did you change the water or you can add the new color in the same water with prior color ?
I start with fresh water for each colour. If there's still lots of colour left in the dye I pour it into a container to keep and reheat again in the future.
Rockstars and Royalty thank you so much for the answer
what brand of dye to ombre lace? Should I use Idye or Prociondye?
It depends on what your lace is made from. I've not used Idye or Prociondye so I'm not sure what fibres they suit sorry. Googling which dyes are best for the fibre your lace is made from should give you some answers 🙂
Hi. I'm wondering if you can help me fade a long piece of brown lace. Would you use hydrogen peroxide? or bleach? I sew a little bit and got a super deal on large rolls of lace.
I'm sorry but I've never done any fading or bleaching so I can't help you. Check out Melanie Brummer's channel. She's an expert a dyeing fabric so may be able to help you. Good luck. It sounds like a great project. ua-cam.com/users/dyeandprintsvideos
@@RockstarsandRoyalty Thanks. I'll check it out.
What if the piece is already done up and i just want to do the bottom half
Hi Sunny, are you able to cut a little sample from an inside seam or hem turn up to do a test on? You can test the colour and for shrinkage before you take the plunge and dye the actual garment. Hope that helps
I have an old wedding dress I want to do in several colors, my wedding is in 9 months
