Hello from Germany! I don't know, why this video was suggested to me by UA-cam, but it was certainly extremely interesting to get such an original view on Indian culture and religion. I only know India from documentations and I never had such a lively impression. I googled Dattatreya and learned that he is the embodyment of the trinity and what he stands for. I am very keen to learn a little more. Would someone be so nice and explain what I see in this video? What are people doing here? I guess everthing is some kind of worship but what exactly? What do the different overlayed words mean? What is happening with the girls? This looks worrying to me! I would be very grateful if someone would take the time to answer and explain a little. Thank you! :)
The girls who have been haunted by unholy spirits are being cleansed (by themselves with no external force applied to them). There are no psychologists in India widespread. These temples act like some crude way to release all these psychological outburts. Such practices are also done in some of the psychological treatments in Berlin (at least the one I visited had this session where they would ask everyone to lose control and release all of their energy, hit something, shout etc) So such temples specially associated with Datta Sect/ Natha Sect of Hinduism in this part of India offers these kind of gateways. People want peace and they utilize all the resources they get their hands on. So those girls are safe. (some of them are really superstitious, but overall they some how seek the blessing of devine power just like exocism, but less dangerous)
