Good afternoon jank enthusiasts! There's so many ways to abuse Starving Venom, but never did I think I'd wake up and think "Oh yeah someone is gonna Desynchro Engine into The World, skip my turn, tribute Mega Zaborg, go into Starving Venom, copy Neo Ultimate, then punch me for game. Yeah this is totally gonna all happen" Thank you so much to whoever let that guy cook that was an INCREDIBLE replay, gold standard jank.
Idk how that SE player made the column mistake twice. I haven’t played vs Mekk Knights in years and I still make sure to not have two cards in one column if I can.
@@creeerik They literally had the material on field to go into Princess and go Zealantis Line and potentially Appo (depending on which effects they used already). They just chose to end on IP Pass. Nevermind pitching Kurikara instead of the Oak that should just come back when you link off Flamberge. If all the choices made weren’t so bad, I would have assumed they ran out of time somehow.
The second time there was no way to play around it if he wanted both the poplar and imperm on field. No matter what combination would always have 2 cards in column
I stand by double oak And in my defense about the second column incident, I'm programmed to play around anima, dont ask me why that was a priority over the mekk knights I know they had
@@Endershock1678 I couldn't really tell you, it's been months since I saved that replay. Probably changing my mind between respecting nibiru or not. Lmao i got featured. So for that junk warrior reversed otk match, it was one of the early tryout duels where players pick between synchro xyz or fusion, and yeah i just got sacked. As for the rank? Well, let's just say not all of us have the willpower to play rank to maintain that prestige
Ranked is literally just me doing dailies. If you don't want to play you don't have to but maintaining rank is literally logging and playing some games for gems while you take turns surrendering with your opponent xD
@@Altares_V here's the thing right, i don't have the healthiest mindset playing this game, or any game really. I don't mind losing games, but the anticipation of losing stresses me out. Man, not only did we get 2 successful blind slash draws replays, but also 2 different ways of using Neo Ultimate Blue-Eyes to OTK(the quick and dirty "unbrick" method, and a full out self-deckout combo courtesy of The World and Supreme King Starving Venom).
You think this is bad, you should see how badly Yubel players can screw up combos. I once played against a player who opened Gates, Nightmare Throne, Called By (for my Maxx C), and Mature Chronical, and after ten minutes, ended on a board of SP Little Knight Phantom of Yubel Pass.
In fusion gate event i was playing my kaiju weather painter deck (because i thought it would be funny to play a fusion event without a fusion deck) the second game i played was against i runick variant of earthbound rollback ftk,to then go against a stun deck. I am probably the only person in all of yu-gi-oh that is overjoyed when the dino with shield shows it's face.
I play Tearlament, and I am currently 0-4 against Winged Dragon of Ra. Some ancient Egyptian curse me so that if I ever run into a raw player, I will always, one, find Destrudo in my mills, two, have my randomly normal summoned Reinoheart in attack position.
Farfa a dueling book Judge that does not know the rules. Underworld goddess this link summoned card is unaffected by your opponent's activated effect unless they target, Tripple tattic tallent taken control would not have work since it does not target.
Activating a card is not the same thing as activating the effect of a card. “Activating a card” refers to when you first place a card face-up on the field or when you first flip a face-down card up, and the opponent only did that once after resolving Trap Trick (Nightmare Archfiends), after which they activated the graveyard effect of Transaction Rollback which is perfectly legal
I find Nibiru to be completely useless. Every single time I have ever seen it used, it was either played through, countered, or its use directly backfired to translate into a loss for the user of the card. It feels more likely to backfire than it is to translate into a victory for the one who successfully plays the card. People tell me it's supposed to be useful but in practice I have yet to see the merits of the hype. I guess very very few people actually know how to properly time the use of the card such that it won't backfire or be countered or be played through
Nibiru was such a turn-ending card that Konami couldn't help themselves later but print decks and cards that could extend past or prevent the tribute wipe. It's a classic case of powercreep
It’s a combination of skill issue and an unfriendly meta. Nibiru is a devastating card when played in conjunction with other hand traps which forces them into needing extra summons for their negates, but on its own isn’t as strong because every good player knows how to play around it. The meta is also kinda weird to it right now. Yubel can make Phantom on 5th summon easily, Snake Eyes can only really be nibbed after Flamberge resolves, and some other decks like Lab do not care. It’s still a very good hand trap, and a turn ender used correctly, but everybody has had a turn ended with the rock enough times to know how to play around it. That said, it absolutely can end turns. MBT used it to end Snake Eyes on nothing in a recent TMT. I personally have only had somebody play through it once, and almost always end on a much lower ceiling after using it, but only have it resolve like 40% of them time.
@Endershock1678 My experience with it is twofold: By proxy via watching other duelists or by noticing that opponents I won or lost to had nib in decks but never used them on me. All the duels I observed were duels where nib was used and subsequently used against the person who used it or otherwise didn't care. In some cases, the nib token was just used as synchro fodder if not just kept as a beatstick to subsequently destroy the user of nib. All the duels I had against nib runners who didn't use it on me simply couldn't use nib on me because I run very very short summoning combos of rarely 4 summons a turn and rarely end on more than 2 or 3 monsters at a time. I don't play this way to avoid nib, I play this way because I do not have fun playing solitire with myself for minutes on end while my opponent is held hostage waiting for my turn to end or for them to be able to interrupt me if able. I like things short n sweet, swift, actually fast combos that take less time to pull off than your average hero spam deck or a link climbing deck or any other combo deck. I prefer going second, and my rogue decks usually reflect that. The only exception is my Stealth Kragen shark deck which wants the Xyz out turn 1 to pose a threat to any initial summon the opponent might make on their first turn going second since Stealth Kragen can quickeffect destroy any unprotected monster whenever I want, once per turn. My other decks range from combining sharks with crooked cook and speedroids to timelords and trains. To eater of millions mixed with gizmech orochi, gren maju, and a few kash cards to compose a banish heavy deck. I don't follow meta trends, I just build and experiment with things until stuff works or doesn't work, so long as the primary goal is met to take as little time lingering on my own turns as possible to better respect my opponent's time. I prefer xyz summons over all other extra deck summoning mechanics as I can easily make the shortest possible turns with the biggest payoff should I manage to get what I want on the board
@@Sigmaairav I’m sorry, I’m not gonna comment on most of this, but how in the world are they using a level 11 Nibiru Token as Synchro Fodder? There’s pretty much no deck that makes a 12 that actually uses level 1 tuners.
