Good choice as I love my 2023 Honda hrv sport and I believe that this vehicle is much better than the Civic in any trim level. This is definitely the better choice regardless of what some people are saying.
One month with my hrv exl and I'm loving it. Love that i can put down the chair completely flat and sleep in the back with my sleeping bag whenever I'm pulling 24hr duty.

I have one on reserve ,, ordered it the first week of May,, zero time line when it shows up.. The cars keep sitting in Mexico ,, dealer told me they have had some sitting for monthhs.. its beginning to feel like forever. You did a great job with the video,, very informative.
We have a 2023 in Melano Red and we love it. Honda did a great job on the redesign. A lot quicker than some give it credit for. Fun to drive, quiet and rides great.
Red is not my color, but this looks great with the black trim and wheels. If you have a Sport, the black optional exterior emblems and legal smoke window tint is a must, if you already don't have it. Also, if you want to make it a little different, you can get the aftermarket black caps for the door handles and shark fin roof antenna. I plan to get a FWD Urban Grey Pearl HR-V Sport with the floor and cargo weather mats and rear seat back protectors, and certain other OEM accessories. If you want faster acceleration, you can get the Pedal Commander for $300 to improve throttle response for quicker acceleration. It's a plug and play unit that hooks up by your accelerator pedal outlet. It has 4 settings, each of those with 9 customized settings.

I'm driving a 2012 Fit Sport and looking to upgrade to a compact SUV. After looking at the Mazda CX-30, Toyota Corolla Cross, Subaru Crossfit, I'm leaning towards the HR-V Sport. Got a 2023 and now have a 2024 I went through your video to find out HOW on earth should I connect bluetooth without having to charge my entire android for my google maps? it charges my battery 100 and if i disconnect it from the cable my google maps will NOT appear, the 2023 version did not do that, so how do i do it???
How can the gauge cluster is scatched on a brand new vehicle? I have the exact same trim and a lot of quality issues such as scratched gauge cluster, scratched gear shift, scratched steering wheel, small door chip on overall filthy exterior. Luckily my dealer is making it right.

The first Honda HRV was released in 2016 that was built on the Honda Fit platform. Now, these second-generation HRV from 2023 are built on the Civic platform. After looking at Cargurus.com with Nationwaide distance, I can see many ways above the 100K mileage.
This HR-V is based on the Civic platform, as stated by CHC, and has very similar build design and quality as the Civic. It also has the same tried and true N/A 2.0L engine that is known to last possibly 300-500K+ miles with proper care and maintenance. You can Google the conversion to kilometers. Mileage will be a lot more than the turbo 1.5L engine, again depending on your driving, and maintenance. If you always floor it from a start, brake hard, thrash and abuse your vehicle, don't do timely motor oil and transmission fluid service, it won't last quite as long without needed engine work or other repairs.
I have a 2020 Sport, and this looks much better in every way especially the interior. However even with the upgrade of the Civic engine it's still underpowered in my opinion.
It has enough power, but lots of people equate power with acceleration, but Honda used this reliable engine for longevity for the targeted consumer for the HR-V. When I get mine, I will get a $300 Pedal Commander if I feel the need for more speed on acceleration. If there's too much body roll, I will probably get the slightly lowered and stiffer Eibach Sport Kit coil springs.
Love it! I wish the HR-V was the size of the CR-V. I then would purchase it instead.😢 I like the exterior and interior of this SUV. I especially like the black seats. Shows less dirt and would age well. Thank you for the details of the HR-V. 👏👏👏 great job CHC! 👏👏👏
To my knowledge, the HR-V is almost as long as the CR-V, but the latter is probably more roomy inside, but the hybrid may have a higher storage floor if that's where the battery is.

How do I get left drivers I interface back to main screen.? Where it shows miles left. I can go back after going in to settings. I tried home button but it doesn’t return.
Do you mean a 12 volt outlet? I know that's my biggest complaint about the HR-V as opposed to the Civic, as the 12 volt outlet is only in the back. Some dashcams have a hardwired kit. Which I probably will do, but I may get one of those triple 12 volt accessory boxes and have an auto electric shop run the hookup for that and the hardware for my dashcam, but put that outlet on the passenger side of the center console l, or right under the dashboard to the right.
I do practice driving daily, and one of my many goals is to avoid wrecks/accidents. Plus, the HRV has a good safety rating as well, just in case the other person is not as good of a driver. Thanks for watching
It's supposedly a very safe vehicle. Unless you are not a safe driver, or watch your surroundings well. Better to be in a Honda than other cars known to spontaneously burst into flames 🔥. This is the first time I heard anyone express concerns for crash safety with the HR-V or even Civics.
@@jjacob25101 I just got T boned in my 2017 civic and although Im banged up and definitely feel like I have been in a car accident....I am otherwise ok. It was actually more of a T bone/Head on collision. The other driver blew it that badly. Their Toyota Van front end was totaled. Both cars written off she was at stop sign I was driving 50km/hr ( canada ). I am buying Either an Accord Hydrid or this HRV on tuesday.
As CHC stated, the button on the Civics and maybe other Honda models have the disable button you need to activate on engine start up to disable, or use Sport mode, which will bypass it. I believe this also works on other vehicles like the Ford EcoSport I once rented for a few days. But, the good news is, that fir some reason, the HR-V does not seem to have the auto start/stop feature. 👍 Unless they added it for 2024. I need to watch this video again to see if they did.
Jacob - confirmed 2024 HRV does NOT have the dumb auto start stop feature. Buying one today, and this is just another reason to get HRV and not a CRV or Civic that both have the dumb feature.

Hello. Just purchased the 2024 hrv and love it. But i wanted to know if anyone experienced this. Parked car with seat belt off and after 15 minutes car shut off. It happened to me today but it didnt happen yesterday. Anyone else have this happen? If so what did you do ? Is their a way of shutting that off? Thank you

You should be able to contact your phone via bluetooth the same way. It would be easier to help in person, maybe your salesperson can assist.

No 12 volt outlet, just the three USBs.
Check my reply in your previous comment about this above for a solution I will be using when I get my HR-V Sport.
Key fob needs a new battery due to the man pressing the key fob every 3-15 seconds or 657 key fob clicks. Aka like a dog trainer
