Nice, more Gaslands! A couple of things, first you only get to choose facing when you slide on a straight template (at around 32 minutes). On a turn, where the slide template is put on the side of the turn template, you move along and then slide out sideways, so your facing is fixed. Second, a ram protects you against those pesky hazards from ramming (at around 55 minutes).
I'm so glad y'all have gotten back to Gaslands! You did a great job and got almost everything right! Just a couple of minor things: 1) One time, you didn't remember that a Ram prevents you from taking hazards from a collision on that side. 2) And in Refuelled, there were a few changes/clarifications about cars becoming wrecks when they crash. If you die from gunfire, you become a wreck. But if you explode or die from a collision, you're "twisted metal" and are removed from the board. And if a wreck is hit by another car, it it removed from the board afterwards. 3) And, of course, the Slide facing thing that onkelgroen mentioned earlier. Great job!
I appreciate you putting this video up. It helps to smooth out the rules as we play as well. I'm still new to this game, but it seems like the bases are giving a bit of a distance advantage. I'm considering basing my cars, but I don't want it to cause a problem with inconsistencies. Thanks again!
I've mounted some of mine on bases, and figgered out it's not such a good idea. You can't put your car on terrain like hills very well, and Up-and-Over just ain't the same if can't set your Monster Truck on top of his victim before moving out!
Just bought the gaslands book. Can’t wait to play. Really great video to help me understand the game. Took me a couple of minutes to work out why the voice was so familiar. Inches and cubes.
Encounter Wargaming - just been watching the other gaslands vid (3 player game) - I am really enjoying watching non-40k stuff for a change. Glad I worked out where the voice was from. It was bugging me for ages. I still listen to inches and cubes occasionally but it definitely feels a bit less structured of late.
thanks guys. I think I have everything straightened out in my head finally to try to run a couple cars through solo before I work my way up to four cars six and then maybe eight.
I really appreciate how you take your time and easy me for me to see what you were doing... So many other videos that people are playing at warp speed and I just couldn't keep up.
Nice work on the vehicles. I'd like to know what you used for the paint jobs. I also am thinking of using bases. Those bases are rad. Could you add the link to the vids creating the terrain? Do you use a standard width for the vehicles? I don't know about the "either direction" on a Slide using a curved template. The rule is unclear. A question on the Wipeout check, I read it as the vehicle automatically gets 2 hits unless the vehicle has a roll cage. You guys rolled two dice. I always like rolling dice so either way works.

According to the rules your template goes directly below, and even with, the piece of gear that sticks out furthest. Bumper, ram, front wheels (think buggy with no bumper or wheel wells) . I've mounted some of my cars on bases trying to keep them even with the car.
When your performance car passed thru Gate 1and after the slide, I don't think you are allowed to make that spin as far as you did. It's a max of 90° left or right. You went over that just a little bit, eh?
I need help guys The one place I bought stuff from the small package got lost for a while I bought some stuff from another company but the plastic resin is brittle as hell can you give me a good recommendation anyone as to who to go to to get some decent weapons and add-ons for my gasoline cars?
Great video. Thanks. Can someone help with this scenario: Car A has passed gate 1 and 2 and is in the lead towards gate 3. Car B has passed gate 1 and has weapons active. Can car B move to attack car A without heading to gate 2 or would it have to pass through gate 2 first? I suspect it is a “rule of carnage” and it can but it has come up several times in our games. Thanks in advance.
I say once the weapons are active it can attack any car. It doesn't need to go through gate 2 to attack it just have its weapons activated by going through gate 1. At least that's our understanding.
Spin means you choose up to 90° left or right. It can also be zero! Slide is where you HAVE to pivot so both the front and back tires of one side of the car are touching the slide template's edge

Good to know. Thanks for the input. We'll watch out for that in the future.
Subscribed because of Gaslands. Keep them race reports comming.

Thanks for the clarification and the encouragement. Glad you liked the video.
Good Gasland Batrep, At around 12:10, in any collision even if you don't do and don't receive any damage both vehicles involved do get 2 hazzards!!!
Your vehicles look really cool!! Thank you for creating this video!
Our pleasure. Glad you liked it.
Oh, also totally stoked about more races with sponsors! Although it becomes hard to afford weapons, with all the cool skills available. ;)
We noticed. The next batrep will be out next week. Instead of sacrifice weapons we just upped the cans.
I love seeing the headlights with the fluorescent green. Cool nuclear affect!

Yes. Bases do seem to be an issue at times. Thanks for watching.

Awesome stuff dude, cant wait to see you play another game
Glad you enjoyed it.
Just subscribed
Just recently discovered the game and love it. Need a few things (bits, paints, etc..) and getting there. Love the tutorials
Thanks for subscribing. Glad you like the videos. More gaslands to come.

Ya. Inches and cubes used to be our podcast. They have since gone their own way but remain friends of ours.

Thumbs up to gaslands.
You guys should try out the weapons from time extended, they can be really fun.
We haven't explored the expansions yet but your suggestion is noted and we will definitely make an effort to do so.
I really wish I could find people to play this with in my area
I'm in the same boat. Nobody near me to play here in Palmyra, Virginia.
Hey, a bat rep cool👍
Thanks. Glad you liked it.
Question about your bases, does they give you a extra half inch because you can’t put your car on the template with its rear tires/bumper?
According to the rules your template goes directly below, and even with, the piece of gear that sticks out furthest. Bumper, ram, front wheels (think buggy with no bumper or wheel wells) . I've mounted some of my cars on bases trying to keep them even with the car.
Looks fun and interesting! How does a car get a harzard from the beginning of the game?
Not sure what you mean. Are you referring to gearing up? You recieve a hazard whenever you change gears. Is that it?
Ok, that clears it up. I guess I'll be ordering the instruction book and keep watching your videos. Thanks bro!
No problem. Feel free to ask anytime. Also feel free to clear up any rules mistakes we make if you notice them.
How did you mount the camera during this game? Was it just hand held?
When your performance car passed thru Gate 1and after the slide, I don't think you are allowed to make that spin as far as you did. It's a max of 90° left or right. You went over that just a little bit, eh?
Also, love the video!! Love the battle field!! Want more battles!!

Wait, the 911 isn't set up as a performance car?
Great video. Thanks. Can someone help with this scenario:
Car A has passed gate 1 and 2 and is in the lead towards gate 3. Car B has passed gate 1 and has weapons active. Can car B move to attack car A without heading to gate 2 or would it have to pass through gate 2 first? I suspect it is a “rule of carnage” and it can but it has come up several times in our games. yep that is a common strategy send one buggy to win and send a truck to intercept.
Am I doing something wrong, OR are you spinning the cars 45° instead of 90°? I thought a spin forced you to pivot 90°?
Pretty sure you can pivot up to 90. Anything in between is fine. It can be used to your advantage.
Spin means you choose up to 90° left or right. It can also be zero! Slide is where you HAVE to pivot so both the front and back tires of one side of the car are touching the slide template's edge
Wow ...
you guys must be really bored
